We took the Eco Tour and we were not sure what to expect. It turns out that this was one of the best tours we have ever taken. We were really in places not seen by visitors or even locals. The vehicle, the Swiss Pinzgaur, was very cool and unusual. The ride in some places was not smooth, the the Pinzgaur got the job done! Our guide, Keola Ryan, was not only born and raised on Oahu; it turns out he was a professor of Hawaiian studies at UH. What a bonus! He was fluent in the native language. He was an expert in native plants, animals and conservation. He knew stories of acncient Hawaii and was able to make them relavent to today. Because of Keola, the tour was even better! The lunch that was provided was very good. Everything was as advertised and better. I was sad when the tour ended. I would do it again tomorrow. Overall I give it a grade of: A I am so glad we went on this tour and that we met Keola Ryan.

This is definitely a must-do on your list when you visit North Shore. This tour takes you to the private property in North Shore ...that no one else can take you. I've done Paradise Helicopters tour before, and I've seen this portion of North Shore inland. I was always wondering what lies there, and this tour takes you exactly where I wanted to go. Ryan was a wonderful guide, and as a Hawaiian studies instructor at University of Hawaii, his knowledge on Hawaiian language and history was second to none. I highly recommend this tour to everyone who's looking for something different. more

Superb and marvelous experience with Keola and Nui, experienced guides and most of all friendly and with and an excellent customer... service, Keola make us feel like home. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone, from the younger to the oldest one in the family, its a perfect balance between nature, beauty and Hawaii culture and history. The tour involves a vehicle not found in other places, I had made tours like this in Alaska, Spain and other places, but never like this one. Visiting sacred places, and honor them its a privilege and a must during any stay in O'ahu. As explained in the tour web page, you only need to bring your camera en sense of adventure, they provide you with all the necessary, snacks bars, water, rain ponchos, glasses, in short word, everything. It is worth to mention that the admission to Waimea Valley and the Waimea Fall Trail is included, during the trail you will see all the efforts of the Hawaiian people to maintain the ecosystem as pure as possible, the gardens are awesome, and a stop at the restaurant is a must! Mahalo Nui guys, Á hui hou aku. more
