With more than 60 interactive, touch-screen experiences and high-tech simulators, have a grand experience of being the astronaut. Take a virtual space walk; practice docking to the ISS; create sonic booms and glide down the Re-entry Slide; take the helm at the shuttle cockpit, and much more. Finally, celebrate the lives of the fallen heroes of STS-51L/Challenger and STS-107/Columbia at a stirring new memorial exhibit, Forever Remembered.

Have the Shuttle Launch Experience, the ride veteran NASA astronauts call the next best thing to an actual space shuttle launch. Feel the G-forces push you back into your seat as you travel at simulated speeds up to 17,500 miles per hour and experience a brief sensation of weightlessness before the payload bay doors open, revealing a stunning view of Earth.

See NASA's historical and working spaceflight areas including the iconic Vehicle Assembly Building and Launch Pad 39B then disembark to experience the excitement of the Apollo/Saturn V Center. Touch a real moon rock and explore a wealth of Apollo artifacts at the Apollo Treasures Gallery, including Alan Shepard's Kitty Hawk capsule and his spacesuit from Apollo 14, still bathed in moon dust.

Witness a presentation inside the Lunar Theater, where a blend of 3D theatrical elements, real NASA video and audio and multimedia imagery come together to recreate the dramatic events leading up to America's first moon landing. While you're there, grab lunch or a snack at the Moon Rock Cafe.
