What To Expect
Start the tour at our traditional market where Tahitians sell fish, fruits and handicrafts. Feel the warm atmosphere as you shop around for local souvenirs.
Walk around the city, starting with the Cathedral, built in 1875 and restored in 1987 to showcase a nice harmony of modern and old stained glass. Next, visit the Vaima shopping center, located right at the center of Papeete and is the biggest shopping center in Tahiti.
Then, head on to the City Hall. Inaugurated in 1990, this colonial palace and garden has become a famous symbol in downtown Papeete.
End the tour by visiting the Black Pearl museum. It is the only museum in the world dedicated to pearls - specifically, the Black Pearl. From the shores of Egypt to those of Asia and Pacific, you will discover why many have been captivated by this mysterious pearl.
