What To Expect
Perched on the bank of the Seine, the Orsay Museum is one of the most prestigious art gallery in the world and is definitely a must-see in Paris. Originally built as the Gare d'Orsay railway station for the 1900 World Fair, this remarkable museum is a jewel of architecture by itself.
The Musée d'Orsay features collections of mostly French art dating from 1848 to 1914, representing various artistic movements such as Academism, Realism, Symbolism, Art nouveau. But the Museum is especially famous for holding the best Impressionism and Post-Impressionist masterpieces ever created. See the works of some of the most legendary painters such as Gauguin, Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Cézanne, Van Gogh, and more!

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: open from 9:30 to 18:00.
Thursday: open from 9:30 to 21:45.
Museum is cleared at 17:15 (21:15 on Thursdays).
Built in the old orangery of the Tuileries Palace located in the heart of Paris, the Orangerie Museum displays renown art collections of impressionist and post-impressionist artworks painted by the many pretigious artists, including Renoir, Picasso,Matisse, Rousseau, Sisley, and more.
The gallery is especially famous for housing Claude Monet's mastepieces : "the Nymphéas" series (Water Lilies), which were painted in the artist's garden at Giverny and donated to the French state.
Among the impressive Walter- Guillaume collection, which features modern paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries, discover also the famous Modigliani's "Nova Pilota" portrait.

Last entry at 17:15. Museum is cleared at 17:45.

Tickets are undated and valid and until December 23, 2017.
Visitors with disabilities and the person accompanying them can get free admission without queuing.
Visitors under the age of 18 and EU residents under the age of 26 get free admission with valid ID.
There is free admission to the museum on the 1st Sunday of every month.
Due to increased security measures, we may experience delays in getting through mandatory security checks when entering monuments.
Suitcases, travel bags and backpacks are not permitted in the museums, and cannot be left in the cloakroom.
