THIS IS BY FAR THE EASIEST AND CHEAPEST WAY TO SEE ALL THE SIGHTS IN PARIS.
It gave us an overview of the highlights of Paris. We could then focus on places to return to to spend more time at.
This tour showed us most of the highlights of Paris in a short time. We then selected the areas we wanted to spend more time at f...or the rest of our holiday in Paris. more
The Hop-on-Hop-off open bus is the way to see Paris! Never had to wait long for a bus to come. Thank you!
This was our first trip to Paris and we found that with these bus tours that had a wonderful plug-in commentary system in place, w...e were able to learn much about this wonderful city and enjoy the view from the top of the bus. more
A great way to see the real Paris as well as the main tour
The tour is great. Quick, efficient, and the only way to see the most if you go for a short visit.
In the beggining it was ...hard to find the bus stops, but after taking the first circuit, you move from one to another like fish in water.
Just one critic, the audio system on some buses didn't work properly, it went mute in the middle of the tourist guidance speech. more
Very good especially as traveling with older family who were unable to walk too far, ideal for them to see all the sights without ...having to walk/take the metro. Got some great photos from the top of the bus and had lovely day on the river. Would highly recommend for young families/older sightseers. more
The three day pass was brilliant for getting around. You could use any of the open-top buses, or, the boat whenever you wanted whi...ch was more rewarding than using the Metro all the time. The Boat was relaxing and gave a diffeent perspective on Paris and the Bus Tours gave a view of parts of Paris that may not be on the usual tourist itinery. more
Great way to get around Paris, specially if you are short on time, ensures you see all the main sights at least from the outside.
It took us a little while to figure out which buses are the ones and where the stops are because City Discovery didn't give a...ny maps. It might help to give this information in the future. Luckily we kept asking every tour bus that passed by til we found it, we just circled Trocadero a few times. I do highly recommend this to anyone visiting Paris! more
The only slight disappointment was that, because or he Tour de France reaching Paris on 26th July, open topped buses were disrupte...d & one was withdrawn completely. They did extend the pass for an extra day, but as we were leaving the next morning we could not take advantage of that. It would have been better to have known in advance but it was still a wonderful, hassle free way to see the sights of this beautiful city. more
It was an excellent means of getting around the main attractions.
Great way to get around the city
after 2days travel on teh hop on bus as well as the bato bus boat, you feel like real parisian
Great way to see Paris! A must do!
Only negative is that the bus waited at some of the stops far too long!
The frequency of bus is excellent. very friendly bus driver and can speak English very well.
great way to check out and get around Paris!
Fantastic way to see Paris
The Hop On buses are an ideal way to get a broad overview of Paris. As a solo senior lady it is and ideal and safe way to tour. ... I did every circuit and the Batobus. Had a great time. more
I purchased 3 activities from City Discovery for my vacation to Paris last week and they all exceeded my expectation!!!! Thank Yo...u so much!n1) Hop on Hop Off - Excellent! Best way to get around the city, buses were on time, friendly drivers, wonderful experiencen2) Tour to Versaille - wonderful driver, ***. Excellent trip! Loved the tour.n3) Airport departure transfer - on time arrival for pickup, Went like clock work! more
Great way to get around Paris at your own pace. Bus stops were easy to find, drivers were friendly and helpful. Buses were on time... and schedules were easy to read. I recommend highly as a great way to tour Paris. Never had a problem finding a seat on the bus. Easy to purchase tour over the internet. I purchased several days before I left for Paris. Immediately received vouchers and was able to print with no problems. more
I go to Paris twice a year, and love the Paris a la Carte Combo Tour! It can only be purchased on the City Discovery website, and ...it makes the best sense. The Hop On Hop Off Bus has great narrative, so you get a history lesson as you ride! Hop off (check out the sights), and hop back on, all day long! The Batobus is like experienceing a free river cruise ! I use it when I am worn out and want to just relax and view Paris from the river! Fabulous photo ops ! Highly recommend it. more
We had a great experience with City- discovery in Paris. Best way to see the points of interest. However during peek summer touri...st season I would recommend having the buses run a little later into the evening. more
Excellent Experience. The best way to see Paris.
Very quick and easy to use.
excellent choices, easy to navigate site and informationnexcellent customer support when phjoned with questions
Very organized and comprehensive tour. I commend your efficient/accommodating staff.
We got the 2 day pass and managed to do all the routes. Just be patient with the crowds as it all works well. Drivers are very he...lpful. This is an excellent way to familiarise yourself with Paris. more
the tour was awesome...the only drawback was at times the commentary is 2 early b4 the real place shows up or its slow n u have al...ready passed the place...it happened a few times on my tour. more
Really nice, we liked it. But blue line bus frequency is not as good as green line
some stops are to far from the main sithseeings
We where booking for two days
and can say it was wonderful,we will recommend it to our friends.
We had a 3 day pass, so did all 4 routes. Good commentary, and you can get on and off bus to visit attractions. Didn't have t...ime to use the boats. Pity the buses didn't finish later in the evenings, because we had to resort to the metro to get back to our hotel (which was on one of the routes). However we did see ALL of Paris, even if it was mostly from the open top of the bus! more
We did have a problem exchanging our confirmation for the tickets. The driver gave us 32 euro tickets - these should have been 40... euro to cover the boat. When we tried to board the boat we were told that we would have to return to the office and get the correct replacements. After some heated discussion everything was sorted out. Overall, we would recommend the tour, especially if your time is limited. more
great way to get around. Grand tour is most useful as it is the most frequent, you can be waiting quite a while for the other rout...es but hey! why rush! more
We thought the tour was fantastic... my husband was on crutches, so climbing up and down the stairs of the metro was not an option... - the tourbus allowed us to get on and off at all the important destinations. And sitting on the open-air top of the bus was such a great way to see the city. more
The tour was wonderful and convenient. However, I booked online and when I presented my voucher to the ticket booth at the eiffel... tour batobus the woman there told me I had to exchange it on one of the buses. This is misleading since your ads say that it can be exchanged at any of the 58 stops. Also we had quite a long wait for the yellow bus - over 30 minutes on a Saturday afternoon in August. But Overall it was a great experience. more
Have recommended to many people since I was back. The cheapest and easiest way to travel around Paris during the day. Unfortunatel...y there is no such tour at night. more
Great way to get around the city. But, plan your route before you board so you know where you want to stop and approximately how ...long it will take at that stop. Also, the buses stop running early starting November, which we didn't know, and we found ourselves lost in the area of Notre Dame and had to take the metro back to our hotel on the Champs-D'Elysees. Check your times! more
It was a good way to see Paris. There were quite a few of the earphone sockets that weren't working on the buses and we woul...d have prefered to have been given a ticket when we registered in your office in Paris. When we went to get on the bus we thought the driver wasn't going to accept the printout we had as he looked long and hard at it. more
I went with my family and used the tour. We didn't have time to ride all the routes, the drivers were friendly and the tours ...very informative.
A must do specially if don't speak french.
Love it. more
I have to say the Open top bus was a great way to see Paris. They were very easy to use. Only criticism would be that they finishe...d too early in the evening. more
Easy and efficient way of seeing all of the areas of Paris.
Dissapointed that we were not allowed to bring a collapsed whee...l chair on board even though there were plenty of strollers allowed. This meant we could not look at sites as I needed a wheelchair to cover any distance. more
Great way to see the sites. Easy on and off. Pleasant and competent drivers. Lots of opportunity for really great pics. Audio was... good even for someone (me) hard of hearing. more
Was disappointed that we could not collect tickets from the Batobus but had to walk to Bus stop. Apart from that the ease of seein...g the sights with both means of transport was terrific. more
We liked it..and would recommend it. It helped see Paris quickly. I had only two issues.
1. The tour was cancelled 1 day d...ue to bad weather. It was cold ,but there was barely a snow dusting on the sidewalks and nothing on the street.
2.when we first got on the driver told us that that receipt was for the red tour...then the red tour said no ...it's the green...other than those things I would do it again more
Some of the bus stops were a little hard to find, but overall it was good. We had a little trouble with one the drivers not wanti...ng to accept our online ticket, but we just stayed on the bus anyway. Although I liked the fact that this tour had the 4 different routes, there was not enough time to do them all, even with a 3-day ticket. You definitely need to plan your routes carefully. We ran out of time and never got to use the boat portion of our tour. more
It was great experience, the open top bus tours are very good as well as convinient...good frequency and space management...we cou...ld find plan inside or on open top as needed most of the times... more
Paris A La Carte was an excellent value. We had 3 days of Hop On Hop Off on the L'Open bus, and it was great ! We saw so much... of Paris. There were lots of busses so we did not have to wait long. Also, we were able to go an unlimited number of times on the Batobus which stops at 5 spots on the Seine River. Altogether, the tour was really good and i highly recommend it ! more
Mthe Paris hop on hop off bus was great. The boat ride was even nicer. We got to see about all there was to see in Paris. One p...roblem, on the second day, the driver left us stranded near the Bastille, then compounded the insult by telling us another bus was on it's way.......the second bus never showed. We had to catch a subway back to our main station. more
With the four lines, it is not one bus.You have to connect to the other routes via different buses if you wish to see Paris. Very... good tour. more
We booked a three day pass which included the river bus. The tours were very good and we certainly saw the sites. We felt that it... was really good value for money as it worked out to about £12.50 per day and gave a great deal of flexibility.
We would have liked a map of the tours to be available on the website before we travelled as we were staying in Montparnasse and had no idea where the bus stop was. Therefore we had to travel into Paris by Metro and guess where we could pick up the tour. Once we had got the map it was extremely simple to follow.
Warning to everyone, remember to take your tickets with you every day. Unfortunately We left ours in the hotel on the last day so didn't manage the Montmartre tour. more
Perfect attraction for families
Unfortunately, it wasn`t possible because the Seine River was flooding during the days 10 and 11 of February.
According wit...h attendant we will be refunded.
Please, we wait for more instructions about that.
The headphones were of poor value, you need to replace them with softer ones as these hurt the ears badly. Other than that, the to...ur was great!
Very practical way to movw through the city, especially when it rains!
Bus stops conveniently located for all the major tourist sites. Friendly staff and good over all service. We however found that we... waisted a lot of time on many of the bus stops and felt that delayed our schedule for the day. On the contrast the boat trip was much better in terms of the stops, however you could not view Paris in the same way as in the bus. more
Well worth the cost,
Good value for money, a great way to get a feel for the city and to get around the attractions.
During peek summer tourist season I would recommend longer hours of operation.
Provide easily understood map showing the locations of bus and river cruise stops. Tour guide on river cruise can hardly explain h...erself in English. more
The recorded commentary was good and the bus takes you to most places of interest, but we felt we spent too much time waiting for ...the bus at connection points, and once the bus was overcrowded with hardly any STANDING room left. We had a three-day ticket and this happened only once, but overall we felt we spent too much time in traffic jams, at stops (drivers sell tickets as opposed to say London where it's done by reps at stops) and at connection points waiting for a bus to come. more
sorry but it poured - we were stuck in the bottom of the bus, packed in like sardines, no headphone, going round and round. it w...ould have been good to have an alternative for such a wet pouring day. we were soaked and cold and couldn't do anything about it. so no, we did not enjoy it (not your fault) but i think alternative buses should be on standby for wet weather!

as said in the voucher, we took our Voucher to the CITYRAMA office near Louvre and a lady staff there told us that the voucher is ...not issued by CITYRAMA and therefore for us to redeem our tickets from a bus. We walked to Louvre bus stop and talked to a bus driver. He gave us tickets but they were for L' Open Tour and not for A La Carte. We had to wait another 1 hour there while three busses full of passengers passed, until a bus with a few vacant seats came by. Finally, we had the L' Open Tour for the price of A La Carte and no river cruise. more
i was disappointed i had use this service before . the information at that time was more interesting. i use this kind of services... when i bring my friends and recommend them often . more
We booked this tour for our second trip to Paris (used Les Cars Rouges during our first trip). While the open top seems appealing,... the buses are always very crowded and you spend a lot of time standing around at a bus stop waiting for the next bus to come only to find that there is no room on the top. You are forced to ride around the city inside the bus where you can't see a thing. The four different routes also sound appealing, but the bus stops are in very odd and inconvenient locations. When you get off the bus, you are forced to walk forever to get to any attraction that you care to see. It may be best to just stay on the bus and take pictures from there, but even with this you will not get close enough to several things you would like to see. Overall, we kept saying that the bus was more of an inconvenience than just walking or taking the metro. The batobus (river shuttle) was a complete inconvenience and very boring. We waited in line for an hour and a half just to get on the Batobus at the Eiffel Tower. After this excruciating wait, we decided the hop on, hop off aspect of the river shuttle was not very convenient and just decided to ride the entire route. A long, boring waste of time! Overall, we would not recommend this tour. The stops on Les Cars Rouges seem to make more sense even though the routes are not as extensive as L'Open Tour. more
This is a thorough tour of Paris, and also a convenient way to get around the city. My only wish was that the buses drove a little... more slowly to allow for photography for those who would like to remain on the bus and actually tour Paris. Paris A La Carte seemed to function more as transportation to each attraction. more
The green line was useful to achieve orientation of the various sights and places of interest. The map provided most information,... because the sound quality on the ear-phones was so bad that very little additional information was gleaned. Not up to standard of similar tours in London and Melbourne, for example.
There was no information of value on the boat trip, unlike the excellent information given on the Thames and Rhine. One could not fully utilise all the trips, in the time allowed, so it was a bit expensive. It would be useful to know approximately the time lag between buses. I waited for ages for a bus on the blue line, eventually I gave up and walked the considerable distance back to the hotel. I won't use it again. I'll rather get a map and a Metro pass. more
This tour was a total waste of money. I purchased a 3 day pass but abandonded the tour within 3 hours. the audio is rubbish, the b...us arrived every 35 to 45 minutes and took a +/- 8 minute break at each bus stop, as a tourist time is of the essence. This service knows how to kill time. Rather purchase a tourist Travel guide and use the Metro Service. more
