What To Expect
On the way to Versailles, your guide will give you an introduction to the history and architecture of the palace. Upon arriving, you will take a guided visit of the chateau, including the Grands Apartments, the King's and Queen's Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors, and the Hall of the Battles.
At mid-morning, take a break at the Brasserie du Musée, where you can have some coffee, tea, or cappuccino. Then, visit the Gardens and the Groves, where you can find the Ball Room, the Colonnade, the Encelade, the Bath of Apollo, the Arc de Triomphe and Neptune.
Lunch in Versailles will be at a typical French restaurant that serves delicious local dishes.
Spend your afternoon at the Palaces and estates where Marie Antoinette spent most of her time. See the the Park, the Grand Canal, the Grand Trianon, the Petit Trianon and Hamlet of the Queen Marie-Antoinette. There, you will take a glimpse into the royal pleasures of simple, rural pursuits, away from the pomp of court.
You will have time for coffee and pastries before leaving the city for Paris.
