It's the best way to see Paris and learn about its history for the first time visitors.
I love this tour company, was efficient and frequent enough, I went in the end of November with a friend, and we bought the 2 day ...pass. I definitely recommend as the metro can be confusing sometimes, plus this takes straight to the attractions. only thing that i would recommend is that even in winter it should finish later than 6.30 because if you go for just a weekend you will end up having to return home by public transports. more
Five stars, or even six, for after-sales customer service. :-). In my last review, I moaned about an apparent excess charge of jus...t under five dollars- but within three hours, City Discovery had written back to me to offer a five-dollar credit to my account. And it wasn't even their fault (it was my stingy old bank). Thanks indeed!! more
What a great way to get around town and to learn about the various parts of town. We loved the hop on and off bus tour in Paris an...d London. For now on, we'll look for a similar bus tour while on vacation.

Buses run frequently. Several routes to choose from. Commentary in your language. Best way to see the highlights of Paris
We just got back from Paris yesterday on July 16th and we would recommend the Bus tour to anyone visitng Paris for the first time.... We booked it the day after we arrives so we could get familiar with the city and pick out some places we would like to visit during our trip. The audio guide was great and we really liked bein able to hop on and off at the stops. We only did the tour that goes around the main part of the city but since we only had a one day pass and that was great for us! more
This tour is a very good way to get yourself acquainted with all the main attractions of Paris -- especially if you are a first ti...me visitor to the city. more
Excellent company! Would highly recommend them. Paris was wonderful.

Very easy to use and plenty of buses to get on. great to use for the first day in a new city.
Perfect all the way !! Everyone was very knoweldgeble, and courteous

It was very interesting and very helpful... it's a good way to explore new places .. we recommend it to all...
Very happy with service provided.

Excellent service. It makes such a difference being able to arrange tours before arriving at destination.
This was a wonderful way of seeing lots of sights in Paris especially as one of our party had never visited Parish before and we w...ere only there for 4 days. Commentary was very good and the drivers very helpful. more
Everything was fine. We loved it
Prices are very fair. We have utilized your service in Paris and Florence and will continue as we travel Europe. One issue is that... some drivers seem unfamiliar with the certificate that we presented. Otherwise, the tours have been excellent and the tours (via earphones) very informative. thank you! (from NYC) more
We purchased the two day option because we used it on our last visit and it was very convenient. Our hotel was 2 short blocks from... one of the stops, so we were able to use it as transportation around Paris.Bus drivers were helpful and patient with all riders. more
Very happy the best from other operators
Very satisfied. Would recommend to others!
Nice service. I had no problem with the reservation at all
Staff were very helpful, we missed the last bus because of the different times in winter and summer, and they helped us to catch a... lift on a bus going to our destination. Such a relief when you don't know the area (in the dark as well ). I would recommend this service to everyone, I have learnt a lot from the talking guide. Very good service. more
Excellent quick service.
I only booked you online so don't know how the tours will go. We enjoyed your services in Germany and Ireland and are looking... forward to our Paris trip. Online ordering went finenand I appreciated the 10% discount code. more
It was amazing trip
The whole experience was excellent with 2 small exceptions. The music between commentary is way too loud & insisting on printi...ng of vouchers is difficult for tourists. Vouchers on mobile devices should be sufficient. However the routes taken, efficiency of service and skill of drivers was all excellent; a most enjoyable experience. more
To know the town better, it is good to take the bus!
Buses are frequent and go on 4 different routes - we managed to see half of Paris on this bus!
... With a multilingual audio guide it was a proper sightseeing for us.
We got on and off the bus quite a few times and we always could find seats at the top deck.
Very pleasant experience.

Bus stop were next to the most important spots like Arch de Triumph and Eiffel Tower. You can get on and off the bus multiple time...s and we didn't have to wait long at all for the bus to come. The last bus was around 7 pm, which was good. The only thing was that the voucher exchange place was a bit difficult to find.

we bought the two day tickets on the hop on hop off bus and truly enjoyed the experience. At the end of the two days, we paid 4 eu...ros per person to add on the 3rd day, as we were told you can pay 4 or 8 euro to extend 1 or 2 extra days if you have the one or two day tickets to make them max of three days. You can't, however, go beyond three days. There are plenty of buses, although most are very packed and it's so sometimes hard to find a seat on the popular upper deck. The drivers are mostly very courteous , some can be slow since they do sell tickets on the buses too. Expect a few minutes to even ten minutes at most popular stops, we opted to stay on bus most of the routes , instead of using it as transportation. Overall, it's well worth the money under the right weather. more
Great trip, see everything you want to see in Central Paris, good commentary and very good driving under very congested conditions.... more
We went to Paris in October so we never had a problem getting a seat on the bus. It went to all of Paris highlights and the stops ...were in convenient locations. No problem with the audio headsets at all. We purchased the two day pass and it was terrific! more
This was my 5th time in Paris so after completely my mission ~ shopping. I took a day to do this hop-on and off bus. I started at ...9:30am in the morning and by 4:30pm, I have completed all 4 bus routes. It was fantastic that I got to see all these areas. I did not take a break so ride around the entire time. Only couple times that I have to wait for the next color bus..the longest wait was about 35-minute..otherwise, the different route bus was right there. I would do this again in any city I visit. This is absolutely one of the best and economic way to see any city around the world. Onward~~~ Thank you!!! more
Generally speaking the bus company is well run , enough buses, good route coverage and nice staffs . Please note though , this is ...not 24/48 hour ticket as the title suggests, the bus company insisted they only have 1/2 day ticket that goes by days , which means you need to start the day early to fully utilize the ticket . In order to get the ticket issued from this voucher , please print out the voucher as they don't take electronic form. However the counter staff was nice enough to offer me her email address so she can print it out for me ... The most popular line is by far the green line which covers most major sites , it is, however , very crowded if not fully packed most of the time we used it in July . So be aware that you may not have an upper deck seat at all. Also as driver sells tickets too , it can stop at one station for as long as 10 minutes . Other than these points it's a good hoho bus company . more
Was able to get around and able to see the great part of Paris !!!
It is fantastic town :). Paris is great. What about your buses... Hm... It was almost perfect, but sometimes stops are too long.
The L'open 2 day tour was very worthwhile. I cannot modify the email you sent me, but I would rate it 4 stars. The only iss...ue I found is that sometimes the waits for buses exceeded 30 min.
The Staff and drivers were very helpfull and pleasant
good value for money
Very easy way to see the city and easy to make transfers from one line to another! Busses not always clean up top - lots of bird d...roppings. more
The stops were sometimes a bit long and the audio didn't always work. But we enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.
Excellent way to tour for a first time visitor. The Audio comentary was good but not always usable due to poor maintenance of the ...audio jacks on the buses. more
Great way to see all the major sites. Also allows someone new to Paris to get an understanding and bearings of the city.
Some of the tours ended too early. A shuttle service should be available from the end of the green route to gard du nord for the e...nd of the last tour. more
The best way to move around Paris and we did it for four days, sound must be improved on some buses and spanish shoul be include i...n your language option, very please with must of your drivers, some of them pay more atention to their phonecalls than the passengers. more
An easy way to become oriented in Paris.
I've done this tour twice now (the first one was in 2005). It's very convenient, the stops are strategically placed, and... the buses come and go frequently enough such that the waiting time isn't that much of an inconvenience. The staff is friendly enough as well. I would definitely do this tour again next time. more
A slow start in the morning due to new passengers purchasing tickets other than that a very comprehensive tour which took two full... days to cover. more
We were able to take three lines in the two days. The green line was the most important one for the short term stayer in Paris.
Excellent value - four routes is immense (but so is Paris) and unless you love sitting on buses and don't really want to hop... on and off (which we did - often!), you'd be hard pressed to cover all in 2 days.
My two meagre criticisms are that the audio commentary can get very wearing- not the commentary itself so much as the music played in between (James Brown's It's a Man's, Man's, Man's, Man's World sung French 'chanson' st<x>yle loses its novelty very quickly...) and that the last bus seems terribly early, particularly as Paris is a city that shines in the evening.
But really these are annoyances. Loved the Paris L'Open Tour - love Paris!
The whole set up with the different routes is very easy to use & it takes no time learning it. You will know where the bus goe...s by the colour box on the front of the bus. You must be patient as not only yourself is waiting for the bus, although there are so many buses on the same route, you are always guaranteed a seat. If you need to get somewhere earlier then I would take the metro, or else you may be arriving too late. If only L'Open Tour buses would start at 8am it would be perfect. more
This was a good service with adequate frequency and a good audio commentary. The only drawback was that in bad weather, there is n...o covered portion of the upper deck. Other double deckers I have seen offer at least some covered areas on the upper deck. more
Went to all the major sights. Best way to see Paris in a short amount of time. Definitely recommend it.
During winter time when using the open deck is not really an option we recommend that there should be a curtain or door to stop th...e cold air from coming inside. The bus was very cold and uncomfortable when we did the tour last week. Otherwise it would have been a wonderful experience. more
Thoroughly enjoyed the tours and being able to hop on and off. Ideal when you have limited time on your holiday and want to try t...o see as much as possible. more
very good service to look Paris.
Very pleasant way to get around Paris. The audio commentary needs improvement, as it doesnt always match up to what you are seeing.... We prefered this method over the metro for seeing all the sites. more
I love the hop on hop off buses, recommend a 2 day pass. You get to see many of the wonderful sights of Paris, learn about them an...d hop off when you want. Some times there was a long wait but that was because the bus waited at some stops for 20mins which was handy at times. more
The Hop on Hop off bus is always a must in any major city. This was VERY thorough.
Clearly it rains quite frequently in Paris. I would highly recommend that you find a way to drain the bus after the massive rains ...because it's disgusting soup at the top of hte bus for guests to sit in while they are trying to enjoy the sights. Also in the same scenario if you chose to sit down stairs then you get drenched with the nasty soup every time the driver turns a corner! So gross. I love the idea of hop on hop off bus... but this RUINED the experience 1/2 way through the day. more
Easy to use and very convenient stops enabling us to visit the places we needed.
well organized with good number of buses. We always got a seat and never found a full bus.We only used one of the routes A but we... used it both days and went around 3 times all together more
The bus is very convenient and the drivers are very courteous and accommodating to us, the tourists. It is the best way to see an...d enjoy all the paris monuments. We would recommend this trip to all. more
Good tours (perhaps reconsider the blue line, not too much interesting), the accompaigning music is not at the same level, too dat...ed and boring.
Frequence of passing is ok, but reconsider the possibility to extend in the summertime, the last bus pass to, at least, 20:00 more
In winter a little blanket would be nice.
We were located in a hotel close to orsey museum and we took the bus from there.it was very convinient to travel with this bus and... explore paris as it stops at all the places to visit in paris.it was very comfortable as it was a sunny day and we were on the upper floor enjoying the best views of paris from this bus.the audio equipment and explanations were quiet good and brief.the staff on the bus were knowing different languages which makes it convinient for everyone.eveyone visiting paris this is one thing which you should not miss out on as it covers entire paris on its different routes.good. more
The voucher instructed us to collect the tickets from the tour office and when we eventually found it we were told that the system... had changed some while ago and now the tickets were given out on the bus! We had travelled across Paris in a very expensive taxi and wasted 2 hours for nothing!!
VERY ANNOYING!!! When on the tour a passenger who bought tickets on the bus said the driver had short changed him for 10 Euros and we had to wait 50 minutes there and back at the office while it was sorted out! The headsets did not work on all bus's and sometimes we had to wait over 30 minutes on the Green Tour. I feel that a refund is in order for all the inconvenience our party suffered which spoilt our day! more
Everything was ok, just a music on a headphones.... a little bit of variety would be necessary.
We had a wonderful time in Paris and the bus tour was great as we managed to see all tourist sights we wanted at our own pace.Wond...erful more
a trip to paris is incomplete without the hop in hop off bus tour.it covers almost all points you would like to visit in paris as ...a tourist.its really comfortable and amazing views from top floor of the bus luckily we had a very nice sunny day in the month of april which made it even more pleasant.the audio guide is also very clear and helpful to understand the points of interests history.there are 4 lines which covers almost the entire city and you can change the lines.it would like take 2 days to complete and sight see with details if you want.but for a general tourist 1 day almost covers up the place with small pit stops! more
All the headphone slots we tried didn't work. the busses were apparently going to be ten minutes apart but we had to wait ove...r twenty five minutes on two separate occasions. One of the busses we were on even ended up in a car accident!! All that said, it seemed to take in all the major sights and we like the open top busses in any event. Needs work to improve the basics of relability though.... more
Sadly the weather was not kind and we had to dodge the showers in Paris during the tour. This made the downstairs very crowded and... standing room only.
In hindsight I should have booked the open top for our first day in Paris not our 3rd day as we had already visited a lot of the main sites by the time we got on the bus.
It seemed like the bus took very long between buses. While it was low season but still a long wait. On the other hand we saw the... red tour buses very frequently. more
The tour was quite extensive and the recorded commentary was high quality, informative and entertaining, at least in English and R...ussian. You really need at least two days to take advantage of the hop-on-hop-off. We tried to do it in just one and a half days and mainly just rode the bus, not getting off. But it was a warm, sunny May afternoon (wear sun protection!), and our feet were tired from the previous day in museums, so enjoyable. I have three complaints. First, the stops were damn hard to find. The map we were given (and not given until we managed to find the first stop) was not accurate so it took quite a while of searching around on foot and local people don't know where these are when asked. Second and third complaints are related: our driver often seemed to take long breaks (or driver changes) at various stops, once long enough that the bus, 25 minutes behind us, passed us. This also meant that the buses were not evenly spaced and you often had to wait longer than expected for a bus - very frustrating when you want to see a lot of things! I got the impression the drivers like to stick together in groups of two buses which is not at all convenient for those waiting to be picked up! more
WE TOOK A 2 DAY PASS, THE FIRST DAY (OCTOBER 31) LINE 1, THE DRIVER RIDE THE BUS AS CRAZY, VERY FAST, IT WAS LIKE A RUNNER, PEOPLE... WAS HIP ON AND OFF ALMOST FALLEN DOWN ON THE OTHER PEOPLE ALREADY SITTED. THE SECONF DAY WAS BETTER. THE DRIVER DROVE THE BUS NORMALLY. more
I am not sure that Paris is the most suitable city for this type of transport. Prefer the Metro.
The tour started off pretty bad - I started at Auber station, after getting on to the bus, there was no movement for a good 20 min...utes, no one bothered to inform us what was going on, only after 20 minutes did someone show up to say that it was driver changeover time, and suggested that we get into another bus. Anyway, if you're buying just a one-day ticket, main attractions in Paris is small enough not to need this tour, esp. as you'll likely be spending quite a bit of time in at least 1 or 2 of the locations and won't be using much of their services. Would most likely be cheaper to go by alternative mode of transportation. more
it was very difficult to find bus stop for this tour. Buses did not run as often as stated
Also, I was shorted 2 tickets d...ue to the bus driver talking to everyone else but me the person trying to get what had been paid for.
Also, When I purchased these tickets I was told that I could run a copy of sale for each of my customers and I would not have to pick them all up at the same time. Just the opposite was true. Very disappointed and think you should refund the 2 tickets I did not receive. more
We enjoyed the trip very much.
Very slow and not enough bus to go around. We were told that there will be a bus every 8 minutes and we were waiting for almost an... hour. We only get to hop off 1 stop out of the whole trip with only 1 line (green line). When we were waiting we saw many Hop on Hop off bus from another company drove pass. When our bus arrived, it was full and we had to stand on the top of the bus. Not very happy. more
