Along the coast, we will be able to visit Astoria, Columbia River Maritime Museum, Astoria Column, Cannon Beach, Hay Stack Rock. We'll also be able to enjoy spectacular views of the dramatic Oregon Coastline.
The Columbia River bar, where the Columbia River opens to a wide mouth and empties into the Pacific Ocean, is known as the "Graveyard of the Pacific." The Columbia River Maritime Museum is an outstanding facility that provides exhibits covering the region's many shipwrecks and much more. Early European exploration, commercial fishing, the Coast Guard, and lighthouses are among the topics covered at the museum.
Erected in 1926 at an elevation of 600 feet atop Coxcomb Hill, the location of the first permanent American Settlement west of the Rockies. This impressive Oregon Coast historical monument is the only one of its kind in the world!

This place is where the Tillamook tribe believed their most powerful god resided. The name comes from their words Ne ("place of") and Ekahnie ("supreme deity"). You will see south for nearly 30 miles. With a huge expanse of ocean before you, this is one of the coast’s best whale watching locations.

Historic Haystack Rock
Discover a large basalt mono lift, the Haystack Rock which is home to many marine creatures and birds. The rock was featured on the film, The Goonies.
Old Growth Forest
Travel through the coastal range for more amazing view points & explore the old growth forest on the beach. Ferns, salal and salmonberry are shaded by massive western red cedar, western hemlock and Sitka Spruce trees that form the basis of the temperate coastal rainforest ecosystem of the Northwest.
This is a beautiful oceanside city with seven miles of sandy beach & the third most photographed scenery in Oregon. While here you can enjoy a walk by the ocean or explore their lovely downtown. The downtown offers boutique shopping and is home to several fine art galleries and a bookstore.
Ecola State Park
Enjoy vantage points with panoramic views including the historic Tillamook Rock Lighthouse lying just offshore on a lone rock in the Pacific. This offers a great vantage points for bird and whale watchers. Look for herds of Roosevelt Elk grazing in meadows and Bald Eagles flying overhead.
