What To Expect
Our Karlstejn Castle Bike Tour rolls you southwest of Prague along the Vltava and Berounka Rivers and through the Czech countryside to the gothic fortress built by King Karel IV to house the imperial jewels and his collection of holy relics.
The bike trip begins from the Praha Bike office in the center of Prague. Following a path along the Vltava and Berounka Rivers, enjoy an approximately 3.5 hour bike ride. Upon arrival at Karlstejn Village, we'll stop for lunch in a traditional Czech
restaurant. Then, we leave our bikes behind to walk (15 mins) up to the castle grounds. Your guide will introduce you to the history of the castle as well as the life of Karel IV and will show you around the exterior. You'll have the option of taking a guided tour (55 mins) of the castle interior.
Karlstejn Castle is a gothic castle with enchanting monumental architecture, located southwest of Prague. It is one of Czech's most visited castles and was built by King Charles IV between 1348 and1355. Karlstejn Castle once held royal, imperial and coronation jewels as well as an state documents.
Enjoy a relaxing return trip to Prague by train. The trip ends at the Praha Bike office at approximately 17:00.

This tour has a 2 passenger minimum requirement for operation and is subject to cancellation if this minimum is not met. Please call at least 24 hours prior to departure to confirm.
