Description

Learn new skills and treat your taste buds in this guided market and cooking tour. The tour begins with a visit to the local market where the vendors sell the freshest local produce. This is where we will buy the ingredients for the original flavors of the dishes and sauces that we will cook for the day. We will also go to the tortilla factory in order to buy the newly made dough that we will use to cook our own corn tortillas!

During the cooking class, our master chef will provide cultural and historical facts about Mexico's scrumptious cuisines and fun cooking techniques while providing hands-on assistance. Learn how to cook authentic Mexican food from scratch as well as dishes and sauces using some pre-Hispanic cooking practices and local family recipes. Become skilled in delectable Mexican gastronomic delights that are perfect for special occasions such as weddings, family reunions, birthday parties or holidays. And the best part of it all, you can eat what you cook in the class!

  • Children below 7 years old are free of charge. Children ages 7-14 years old must be accompanied by one paying adult to attend the cooking class.

  • There will be two chefs for the cooking class. In order to create an intimate setting, six people will be assigned per chef.

  • This tour has a 2 passenger minimum requirement for operation and is subject to cancellation if this minimum is not met. Please call at least 24 hours prior to departure to confirm schedule.

Cancellation Policy

  • Free cancellation: 8 days or more prior to start date of activity.
  • 20% Cancellation Fee (80% reimbursement): between 4 to 7 days prior to date of activity.
  • 100% Cancellation Fee (no reimbursement): 3 days or less prior to date of activity.
