Snæfellsnes peninsula is famous for a variety of recreational activities, highlights of which are whale-watching, bird-watching, and sea-angling in its coastal waters. Close encounters with dolphins, Orcas, and Minke whales are guaranteed. If you’re lucky, you might get to rub elbows (metaphorically speaking) with Humpback whales and experience a sighting of that enigmatic (and largest in the world) creature of the deep –the Blue Whale. Expect numerous seabirds such as gannets, guillemots, cormorants and puffins, to accompany you on your sea adventures.
