About Reykjavik Culture House

A lovely little building that held quite a big job: housing the National Library, National Archives, Museum of Natural History, and National Museum. Whew! Thank goodness, it didn’t give from all that weight. Today, it serves as an elegant nook for temporary and permanent exhibitions on Iceland’s history and culture, meetings and lectures, and a library containing very old books about Icelandic sagas and poems.
