What To Expect
You will be picked up from your hotel for a hike in the Tijuca National Park up to the Tijuca Peak, a perfect choice if you are looking for a half-day hike in the Atlantic Rain Forest.
You will see some of Tijuca National Park's highlights, such as the Vista Chinesa view point from where you'll enjoy spectacular views on Ipanema and Leblon beaches as well as Morro Dois Irmaos. Then you will go to the Taunay Waterfall before hiking up to the summit of Rio’s highest mountain, Tijuca Peak (3300ft - 1021 mts).
Take in the views on the largest urban forest on earth, on the huge mountains covered with tropical vegetation that contrast with dramatic granite rocks forming the unique background for Rio's beaches and constructions. You will also have time to relax at Tijuca Peak before hiking down.
You will be taken back to your hotel after this 2:30 hours hike.
