What To Expect
Visit the famous Dome of the Basilica! The highest architectural point in Rome, the Romans lovingly call it the "Cuppolone", which when translated from dialect, means 'the big dome.'
Avoid 171 steps by using the Basilica's elevator to reach the base of the cupola. You'll have amazing views of the interior of the Basilica from this vantage point. Head upstairs to enjoy views of the city from the very top where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Eternal City that just aren't available anywhere else: the Vatican Gardens, the roof of the Sistine Chapel and the chimney of the Pope's election.
At the end of the tour, bring with you the interactive postcard, as a wonderful souvenir of your Vatican stay or send it to your loved ones and take advantage of the Vatican stamps.
