Description

The most comfortable way to see Salzburg sights. If you would rather not drive yourself, we can arrange a car with a driver for you. A driver who handles navigation, parking, waiting and who can liberate you entirely for sightseeing, shopping or even business, making your travels far more rewarding.

An unforgettable experience to travel over the "Dream Road of the Alps." This journey takes you through ever changing scenery from the valley floor to heights of over 2500 meters! Admiring the peaks towering above you everyone with it's own magic.

With the building of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, these majestic peaks acquired a new dimension. This route has over the years yielded many interesting finds including prisoners chains, weapons and an old Roman Hercules statue providing proof this route was a major and very valuable trading routes over the Alps and a witness to the crossing of the Hochtor almost 4,000 years ago. Until the highpoint of trade in the 17th century, after the Brenner and the Radstadt Tauern, the Hochtor was the third most important trade route carrying almost ten per cent of the trade goods over the eastern Alps.

From the Franz Joseph point (2369 meters), you will be looking up to Austria's highest mountain the Grossglockner, which at 3798 meters is one the highest peaks in the Alps. Spend some time either in the local museum there or watching the wildlife - Birds of Prey, Chamois and Marmots are all local to this area, or even going down to the Pasterze Glacier (good shoes needed). The glaciers are a highlight of nature and not an everyday experience.
