A special kind of adventure awaits you on our excursion to Bavaria - Berchtesgaden. Past the hunting castle Hellbrunnwe, cross the Austrian-Bavarian border. Along the Königsee River Valley, through the Bavarian mountains and along romantic farmhouses and Obersalzberg, we arrive at the highlight of our journey.
A bus and elevator will bring us to the Eagle's Nest. The buses to the Eagle's Nest are equipped with special engines and brakes to transport you from the Obersalzberg to the Eagle's Nest. The adventurous bus ride along the steep rock walls and deep gorges takes about 20 minutes.
During the journey you will have a splendid view up to the "Hoher Goell" and across the snowcapped peaks of the Bavarian mountains. With the elevator (length 365 ft) you enter the Eagle's Nest (5,000 feet). On the way down contented faces are living proof that it was a successful excursion and many of the guests will return again and again to the Eagle's Nest.

Head out to Berchtesgaden and the Eagle's Nest
From Mirabell Square you'll go past the Austrian-German border to Obersalzberg. There you will transfer to special buses fitted with specific engines and brakes to take you up the 6.5 km long, 4 m wide and 22% uphill grade road to the Eagle's Nest.
Marvel at the stunning vistas
From the plateau you will have a breath-taking view of the Bavarian and Austrian Alps. Discover the alpine fauna and flora and walk to the summit cross nearby. Before returning to Salzburg, you have the possibility of exploring the picturesque little town of Berchtesgaden.
