What To Expect
Enjoy a walk through one of the most dynamic and diverse areas in America's Finest City - The Gaslamp Quarter, which is famed for being a unique entertainment destination as well as a rich cultural playground in downtown San Diego. Learn the fascinating history of this remarkable area, and enjoy fantastic photo opportunities of the beautiful Victorian architecture.
Travel through time as you take a stroll through the 4th Avenue, a vibrant street with restored Victorian-era buildings, such as the William Heath Davis House - the oldest surviving edifice in town. The house is actually a pre-framed lumber "salt box" house, built for his family on the East Coast and shipped by boat around Cape Horn. After an economic depression caused Davis' venture to fail, his town began to be called as "Rabbitville" by its principal inhabitants.
This vibrant district is also home to many great restaurants, cafes, art galleries and trendy shops, which gives you the opportunity to spend some more time at your leisure after the tour ends.
