What To Expect
The Segway tour is the perfect tour for both those new to the city and San Francisco veterans. For the beginners, this 3 hour tour will offer you a fantastic orientation and give you an opportunity to see virtually all of the sites you've read about. For the veterans, we're positive you'll learn new facts and stories about San Francisco that you've never heard. And we're sure you'll agree that riding a Segway is the best way to see the 'City by the Bay'.
Each of our tours begins with a safety video and 30-minute orientation. We will practice on the Segways so that everyone feels comfortable and ready to go and conquer San Francisco.
View of Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz
Hyde Street Pier
This colorful waterfront area boasts many working fishing boats, dungeness crab and the famous San Francisco sourdough bread. The famous Pier 39 is here, complete with restaurants, souvenir shops and a few hundred sea lions.
Completed in 1937, the Golden Gate Bridge is the symbol of San Francisco. The bridge is 8,981 feet long and connects San Francisco with Marin County and nearby Sausalito. The channel below the bridge is 400 feet deep and is the mouth of San Francisco Bay into the Pacific Ocean.
Domingo Ghirardelli purchased the entire city block for the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company in 1893. In 1982 the square was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Today one can enjoy shops, restaurants and treats from the famous soda fountain.
Hyde Street Pier was the principle ferry terminal for automobiles before the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge. Today, it is home of the world's largest collection of historic ships, America's only "floating" National Maritime Historic Park.
A hidden gem of San Francisco, Municipal Pier curves out into the bay and is the closet point to Alcatraz Island. A car-free zone, it's a place to play on the Segways with incredible views of the entire bay.
Popular to tourists and locals alike, the Palace of Fine Arts was originally built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific International Exhibition. As the building was not meant to last longer than the length of the exhibition, but was cherished by many as a beautiful attraction, it was preserved and later re-built in its original location.
