What To Expect
Visit San Francisco's only waterfront aquarium, located at Pier 39 in Fisherman's Wharf. Enjoy a unique experience with three exhibit areas: Discover the Bay, which teaches the visitor about the adolescent marine life; Under the Bay, where you can walk through two tunnels with over 20,000 marine animals surrounding you from the San Francisco Bay; and Touch the Bay, where you can feel what it's like to touch a bat ray, leopard shark and other land animals.
Aquarium of the Bay recently enlarged its footprint with the addition of a 270-seat theater called the Bay Theater. Each day visitors can learn about the bay, its history and architecture, and view award-winning film festival films.
See eye-to-eye with a Sevengill shark, be mesmerized by jellies, stroke a Bat Ray's back and experience the magic of San Francisco Bay.
Tickets are valid for a one-day Aquarium admission. Have your hand stamped upon entering the Aquarium for return visits throughout the day-with dozens of daily visitor programs, there is always something new to explore.
