What To Expect
Start your day with a City Tour of Santiago with San Cristobal and Santa Lucia Hills.
The tour starts with a visit of the San Francisco Church built in the 16th century, the oldest architectonic expression of the capital, built after the death of its founders. Afterward is a visit to the Government Palace "La Moneda", the Plaza de Armas (main square) and some national monuments such as the Cathedral, the Central Post Office and the City Hall of Santiago.
The trip continues towards Santa Lucia Hill, where Pedro de Valdivia founded the city in 1541, and San Cristobal Hill. Finally, after crossing the Mapocho River, there will be a tour of the different residential neighborhoods.
We will drop you off at your hotel for you to have lunch and relax before the afternoon tour to Maipo Valley.
This tour is ideal for knowing part of the history and magic of wine, in some of the most prestigious wineries in Chile and the world. The Maipo valley or "Cajon del Maipo" (Maipo Canyon), frames this experience between its greenness and imposing mountains. Here it is possible to enjoy a tasting of excellent wines and their varieties, appreciating their excellent quality and taking pleasure in their fruity scents.
In this valley there are very prestigious and renown wineries such as Cousino Macul, Undurraga and Concha y Toro, amongst many others.
Visit one of its wineries and learn about the wine making process, the vineyards, the production plants, the wine celeries and seeing the final product bottled.
Enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the valley as we go back to Santiago.
Depart from Santiago to the Pacific coast, crossing through the Coast Mountain Range and the Casablanca and Curacavi Valleys.
The visit begins in Vina del Mar, also known as the Garden City, thanks to its numerous parks and nice gardens. The Casino somehow reflects the aristocratic character that the city's founder, Jose Francisco Vergara, tried to give this city. Stop to visit the Quinta Vergara, Carrasco Palace, and meet face to face with a moai brought from Easter Island. Following this, the tour continues along the most important ocean front of the central coast, to later reach the famous clock of flowers of the city.
Later, we'll arrive at Valparaiso City, where the main commercial port and the Congress of Chile are located. With a historical origin that dates back to 1536, Valparaiso was declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO.
Valparaiso is filled with multicolored houses on the hills, parks and diverse historic and national monuments alongside typical bars and restaurants, making this city a bohemian center by night. One of the best attractions is the Plaza Sotomayor, an important civic square, located very close to the principal port of Chile. We'll navigate through this port bay, where the view of Valparaiso is most appreciated.
The tour ends back in Santiago.
