Legend has it that this temple was founded by a Wu Kingdom chieftain in 242 A.D., and has been rebuilt many times but has been retained within the guise of a typical Song dynasty temple. Among its beautiful features are a massive bronze bell said to bring good luck when struck thrice and a Sakyamuni Buddha statue.
