What To Expect
Cairo has to be the most popular trip that tourists want to do when visiting Sharm el Sheikh, and getting there by air is really for those who don't want to spend so much time travelling by coach, when they can jump on a plane and be there in just an hour. You will arrive in Cairo just after breakfast, and then it's an action packed day with so much to do. Your guide will put you through your paces to get all done before leaving this amazing city. Usually the trip starts with the tour to the museum. There are more than 120,000 relics and antiquities. You will see Tutankhamen's tomb and his solid gold death mask. The mummy's tomb is available to see at an extra cost.
After the morning around the museum we will head to the restaurant for lunch, the bus will take approx 20 minutes to get you there, or you can pay a small extra charge to get there by a river Nile boat, either way you will hit the restaurant at the same time. The afternoon is action packed with a trip to Giza to see the Pyramids, one of the last remaining wonders of the world. The sphinx area is truly spectacular and make sure you bring your camera to take mementos away of these ancient historic sights.
Before leaving Cairo, there is a visit to the perfume factory and the papyrus factory, where you can buy souvenirs or sample the local craftsmanship. The day is just a taster and snapshot of Cairo, as there is so much to see and do in just one day.
