What To Expect
A visit to one of the oldest monastery's in the world. The monastery is at the foot of Mount Sinai. Here you will see the Burning Bush and it is a site that is embellished in centuries of history. Included is a visit to the church of St Catherine's with its many artworks and mosaics. In the library of the monastery there are many many manuscripts and scrolls and even if you are not here for the religious history, you will never experience anything like this in the whole of the world. Many tourists take photographs of the site of the burning bush and the day is filled with centuries of history. Lunch is taken in the restaurant in the area of the Monastery. Guides taking this trip are fully informed and knowledgeable and are able to answer any questions that you have about the history of St Catherine and the site. At around midday, you leave St Catherine's and return to your hotel via Dahab, an unspoilt fishing village to do a spot of shopping.
