My sister and I, travelling from Australia visited Cinque Terre last Thursday from Siena, with Arissa (hope the spelling is correct). We left Siena with the charming, reliable and professional Enrico, who was happy to converse with us, despite his limited English. He met us at 6.15 am and delivered us safely to Arissa, who capably and clearly explained the day to us.

Visiting The Cinque Terre in one day, is just a tasting platter of the unique and extraordinary jewel that this location really is, so don't expect a large amount of time in each of the four villages out of the five we visited.

With military precision and a sense of humour, Arissa moved us all from the coach, through two train rides and two boat rides to experience a little, but enough to know something of the people, the culture and the beauty of this treasure in Italy.

For us, it was a 14.5 hour day, but a highlight of our journey. We will recommend it to our friends at home. Enrico, our transfer driver, met us again at the coach at the end of the day, and ensured we arrived safely back at our hotel.

Tour guide seemed like he hated his job. Just going through the motions. No enthusiasm and not informative. Mostly just went ar...ound on our own. Could have done that without going through a tour and paying all that money. Lunch was excellent. more
