What To Expect
Be enchanted by the beauty of Siquijor, a mystical island province in the Visayas region famous for its traditions of folk healing, and whispered myths of sorcery and the supernatural. Long ago, Spanish colonizers called it the "Island of Fire" due to the glow of the multitude of fireflies that would gather nightly. On this tour, explore the hidden gems of this paradise and discover why Siquijor is bewitching in so many other ways.
After being picked up from your hotel, take a scenic drive to Coco Beach Resort Grove, one of the most renowned resorts in the island. Admire the well-manicured tropical gardens and enjoy a private 800 meters of white beach surrounded by turquoise waters. Indulge in a relaxing massage at the resort spa or take a refreshing dip into one of their three large swimming pools. The resort also offers several a poolside bar and a restaurant. In the afternoon, hang out at the beach and marvel at the spectacular view of the setting sun. Then, end your day with a comfortable accommodation at one of the resort's high-class cabanas.
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the resort and then venture out through the suburbs to visit the Old Enchanted Balete Tree, a 400-year old tree outlined by hundreds of roots and vines. The branches of the tree set its foliage to a wide canopy that covers a small spring at the bottom. Soak your feet into the crystal-clear waters of the spring and have a relaxing fish spa.
Proceed to the historical town of Lazi and visit the century old San Isidro Labrador Parish Church and Lazi Convent, one of the country's oldest and largest spiritual structures. From Lazi, travel north to the picturesque Cambugahay Falls and marvel at its shallow, multi-tiered waterfalls. Enjoy the tranquility of the area and take a dip into its clean waters which come from natural springs and watersheds.
Hop back on your van and travel to the town of Maria where you will find the pristine Salagdoong Beach. Enjoy swimming into its crystalline waters and lazing around its fine, white sand beach. For thrill-seekers, you may also jump into the ocean from 5-10 meter platforms built into the limestone rocks.
Then, travel to the town of San Juan and proceed to Capilay, a natural spring converted into a swimming pool. There are a couple of cottages for you to relax in or you may also visit a nearby grotto. At the end of your island tour, you will then be transferred back to Coco Grove Beach Resort.
Start your day with a lovely breakfast at the resort and be up for another day of adventure into one of the most visited spots in Siquijor. Take a scenic drive to the small mountain village of Cantabon and discover a hidden gem, the subterranean Cantabon Cave. Expect to get dirty and wet navigating your way through narrow vertical climbs, waist-deep water and high humidity. Entering the cave can be a bit difficult and requires good to excellent level of fitness, but the payoff is well worth it -fascinating stalactite and stalagmite formations, and a small and tranquil body of water.
At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to Coco Grove Beach Resort.
Take delight in a sumptuous breakfast and spend the rest of the morning as you please. At the end of your 4-day escapade, you will be transferred back to your hotel or Siquijor Port.
