What To Expect
We begin this adventure-packed tour with a dip at the Concord Waterfalls, an incredible succession of not one but 3 wonderful waterfalls situated on the edge of the forest reserve and right at the western side of the island, where the water is the most crystalline clear and icy cold.
Then it's on to the famous fishing village of Gouyave. In this quaint little fishing town you will encounter a picturesque landscape with a nutmeg and spice processing stations. This village is widely known in Grenada as the town that never sleeps as more fish are caught here than anywhere else on the island. Some Gouyave fishermen have even been awarded medals by her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and if you're lucky enough to take this excursion on a Fish Friday you will have the chance to sample some of the best freshly caught fish treats.
Lunch is served in the area known as “The Carib's Leap” where you will get to sample some of the Island's most mouth watering local and international dishes such as the Callaloo Soup, Chicken Roti, Lambi (Conch) in Creole Sauce; all accompanied by a selection of refreshing cocktails, smoothies and fruit juices.
And after you've had some time to relax and re-charge your energies, we continue our journey towards our next stop at the River Antoine Rum Distillery for some education and, of course, a tasting! From here we'll proceed towards Grenville, the second largest city in Grenada, and then onto our last and final stop at the Grand Etang Lake. This breathtaking lake fills the crater of one of the dormant volcanoes along Grenada's mountainous spine and constitutes the forest's main attraction and focal point.
