Description

Discover Central and Southern Taiwan in 4 days! Visit famous natural and cultural attractions such as Puli, Sun Moon Lake, Lukang historical and cultural town, Kenting Park, Kaohsiung City and more!

Day 1 - Taipei / Sun Moon Lake

After pick-up from hotel, we travel by bus to Nantou to visit Puli, a cultural and artistic heaven at the heart of Taiwan. With an elevation between 380-700 meters, Puli is a basin surrounded by rising and falling mountains, hills and farmland.

Next, we will visit the Sun Moon Lake, the only natural big lake in Taiwan, with an elevation of 748 meters above sea level. The southern part of Lalu Island is shaped like a new moon, and the northern part is shaped like a sun; hence the name Sun Moon Lake.

We will also pass by the most famous sights around Sun Moon Lake such as Wenwu Temple, Itathao Village, Ci-en Pagoda and Xuanzang Temple.

Hotel: Sun Moon Lake Hotel, Sun Moon Lake (Mountain View room) or similar

Day 2 - Sun Moon Lake / Lukang / Kaohsiung City

From Sun Moon Lake, we will head to historical and cultural town of Lukang, where streets are made up of the curved, red-tiled lanes of today's Putou, Yaolin, and Dayou streets. Both sides of the streets are lined with newly renovated old-style shop buildings that feature intensely interesting internal room layouts and old-style exteriors. Here you can feel some of the atmosphere of old Lugang.

After this, we will make our way via train or bus to Kaohsiung City.

Hotel: Chateau de Chine, Kaohsiung or similar

Day 3 - Kaohsiung / Kenting National Park

After pick-up from hotel, we will ride the bus to Maopitou, located in the west cape of southern Taiwan. Next we will view the Eluanbi Light House, where the scenery is naturally beautiful and fascinating.

And then we will visit Kenting National Park, centerpiece of the Hengchun Peninsula and Taiwan's only tropical national park. Established in 1982, Kenting National Park covers a total area of 33,268 hectares of land and maritime environments.

Hotel: Chateau de Chine, Kaohsiung or similar

Day 4 Kaohsiung / Taipei

On the fourth day, we will explore the city of Kaohsiung, visiting places such as Cheng Ching Lake, the largest lake in the Kaohsiung area; Spring and Autumn Pavilion, two massive pavilions dedicated to Kuan Kung, the God of War; and the Former British Consulate, built in 1865 with more than a hundred years of history, now the most western building preserved in Taiwan.

After the city tour, we will head back to the High Speed Train station to ride the bullet train back to Taipei.
