Tokyo Metropolis - Ginza and Shimbashi Photography Tour

Axl who's in charge, is really helpful and takes an interest in everyone on the tour. I usually leave my camera on automatic, but he showed me how to get better pictures from it. He also took us to some interesting places in Tokyo. ...Christopher K., United Kingdom – See more reviews

Description

Start the tour just before sunset to take advantage of the best light conditions. Meet the photographer at the Shimbashi station and get acquainted with the necessary photography techniques for your adventure.

Away from the usual touristy tracks, shoot the first half of the tour in Shimbashi, the area known to be the office worker's haven. Hordes of working men wearing white surgical masks flock to the entertainment district after work. It's a common scene of modern day-to-day Tokyo. Use interesting characters and the graphic environment to your advantage. Learn how to create unique and artistic images out of the mundane.

Then take a short train ride to the next station for a complete change of scenery. Neon lights and lanterns light the path under elevated train tracks. Capture life in the colorful eateries and other entertainment districts. Step into the modernized part of the city again and take photos of people within geometrical shapes at the Tokyo International Forum. Finally, the tour concludes on an observation deck in front of the Tokyo Station.
