Totally over the top show is hilarious. Get wrecked by the drink prices but you can neck beers from the family Mart across the street before you go in. There's a waiting lounge with pretty good entertainment and drinks too. Defo worth a blast.

I live in Tokyo and have seen the show multiple times. Everytime the show is different and offers something new. Buying through... Veltra makes it a lot cheaper (¥6,000 instead of ¥8,000). Great for tourists! Don't bother with the food. Watch the show and eat elsewhere in Kabukicho or walk to Korean Town ;) more

My son and I attended this and we had a blast it is a feast for the eyes something going on all over the place it was great! Ther...e were basically three little stories. very enjoyable And entertaining. There are snacks there and you can also order food in the bar before you go into the show so if you don't want the Box things they offer you can also order chicken nuggets and fries before you go in! I would not have missed this for anything well worth it! more

Grace summerhays

The show was phenomenal! I would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Shinjuku

We went as a family with two small kids (age 3 and 6) to the 4pm show and we were not disappointed. This is a memorable experience... for the kids and something they won't see anywhere else in the world. Just know before you go that the venue is small and cramped and the show is loud. They provided ear protection to both of our kids but they didn't end up needing them. The experience was very seamless and I'm glad we had pre-purchased our tickets through Veltra since we saved a significant amount off the list price. more

We had a blast! Awesome show, too bad the waiting area is really tiny for a number of people that is coming. All in all, almost... perfect experience. The drinks could have been easier to get prior to the start od the show, but you do get breaks so it's not too troublesome. Dancers and actors are surreal, it looked exactly like an over-the-top anime battle and it had to take ages of pratice to get right. more

Thank You for the great time. My friends and I had a great time!

The robot show was a great experience that everyone should make sure to check out when over in Shinjuku. Ticket prices were cheape...r by far through here than at the door as well which was a big plus. more

It’s awesome show. Worth the money! Make sure you get like late evening show and maybe on the weekend its just more fun atmosphere.... more

This was spectacular. the show was very loud and they sell expensive popcorn and drinks three times through the show. But... the was amazing, the dancing and lights were just out of this world. the commentator spoke in English so it was easy to follow, the songs were all very popular and the performers interact with the audience. It's a must see. you can't bring in your own food or drink buy if you book through veltra you get a drink voucher. more

It was a very unique experience to see this show. A lot of excitement and great story line makes for an enjoyable night.

Rush shah

Awesome loved it
It's a great must do whilst in Tokyo

Amazing show. So much to take in with all the crazy things going off

Place easy to find. Great show with children
They try to put you in front for they can easily see the show

Couteille matrullo

Definitely wanted to check this out after seeing it on Anthony Bourdain's show. Definitely fun and worth the ticket price

Bright lights, loud music and crazy robot performances: an unmissable experience! I had no idea what to expect (and was possibly a... little dubious) but I am so glad I booked this show. No where other than Tokyo would whole-heartedly embrace such pure fantasy or do it with such a sense of fun. Its tucked away in an area much like London's Soho, with lots of bars and restaurants around for dinner and drinks afterwards and a great way to start a Tokyo night out. more

A friend came to Japan from overseas. I wasn't sure where to go, but it was cheaper than the usual price, so I decided on it.... It was excellent.
My friend was delighted, taking a lot of photos.
But additional orders of beer between performances do not go to everyone (there is no time, not enough staff), so you should buy a couple before the performance starts.
All in all, I’m very satisfied.

Finally I went to the robot restaurant!

When I was walking around Shinjuku, I often saw the advertisings for the r...
obot restaurant which looked very interesting, so I decided to go there with my friends after work.

When we arrived at the entrance of the restaurant, I was getting very excited as I saw the super bright showy lights and huge humanoid robots waiting for us. In front of the reception, there were pictures when a famous person visited there, it also made me feel even more excited.

We took a rest at the waiting room as we had enough time before the start time. I felt I just had jumped into an unusual world as there were so many huge screens and bright lights everywhere.
I was surprised by the ratio of the customers, as there were 50% Japanese and 50% foreigners. In fact, they advertise the restaurant in famous fashion magazines as I saw it on their website, so I thought the restaurant is well know among foreigners. It also surprised me that there were many female customers.
Before the show started, I ate the robot restaurant bento box which I ordered beforehand,It was tasty enough. I think it was a great idea to eat something because I used lots of energy during the show afterwards.

Here came the female troopers! They showed actions that they were fighting with armored warriors. There were dances, songs and laughter. By the way, there was a cute panda bear which came onto the stage too. There was someone having a birthday, and everyone was celebrating with the Happy Birthday song. Maybe you should come here for your birthday.
At the climax, a huge robot appeared. When you’re a boy, you adore stylish robots. You see your childhood hero right in front of you dancing. Plus, he’s illuminated by laser beams and lights. Cool.

Before I went, I didn't take it seriously, thinking it would be such a big deal. But it was fun, beyond what I imaged.

As I can probably go there after work, I will recommend it to friends.

Everyone should see at least once in your life time!

I booked a huge group of almost 20 as a fun offsite for me and my coworkers. It was a big hit. None of us had any expectations. Th...e venue is small and cozy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And the performers... absolutely amazing. They dance, sing, act--all the while lights are flashing, music blaring, and huge robots are being controlled remotely. Would do it again in a heartbeat! more

before leaving japan, it's a nice show. but don't think of real robots. just men inside ;)

crazy, silly, bizarre, anime come to life robot show. Ventura had the best prices for this show. Great activity for kids as long they aren't easily scared. more

This was as strange and as weird and as confusing as we had expected. We went in with an open mind and an expectation of having a ...good laugh at some whacky Japanese show and we weren't disappointed.

Although we left our hotel room at least 2 hours early to arrive in time, we got lost on the way and resorted to catching a cab to the place so while we did catch the show in time, we missed out on sitting in the lobby area which I heard is a mind blowing experience.

I attended the show with a friend and we opted not to get any of the food on offer although we did get ourselves some beers and soda which were reasonably priced.

I definitely would recommend to anyone visiting Japan to try this place at least once. It's whacky, it's strange, it's confusing and it left us asking "what the hell just happened" but where else in the world are you ever going to see something like this?

A very unique and crazy experience. Hard to describe but I would definitely recommend it as I don't think you'll ever se...e anything like this ever! Weird but fun! more

This show is unbelievable. I could not believe my eyes, all my senses were amazed. So glad we booked this show.

The show was strange as expected, but in positive ways. Costumes changed many times in 90 minutes with everything from Superman g...irls to large Pandas riding cows fighting drones to girls in operating a girl robot. Dancers and robots got pretty up and personal. The scene involved loud heavy beats, lots of fog, flashing lights, and enough LED lights, half naked girls, and lasers to sink a boat. Only in Japan! more

Very easy experience and an unbelievable price. Was able to get in for almost half the price

First of all I loved the price this website offered. I was skeptical it was a scam of some sort since I had never heard of the we...b page. I was able to get my tickets with no problem & seats were in the front row. The show was fun & entertaining. Although the women wear skimpy outfits they do not dance in a sexual manner. My seat was next to a kid (10ish) & he really seemed to enjoy the show. I've had many people ask if children were allowed.. So yes they are but use your own discretion (skimpy clothing-location of Cafe). Lights, robots, costumes, dancing, & the decor all make for a fantastic night you won't forget. I personally loved all the foreigners it attracts. Just in my seat I heard 4 different languages around me. I live in Japan myself (American) but there was something refreshing about not being the only "outsider" in the crowd. Non-stop smiles more

Tasha Schoen

The show was unbelievably ridiculous and thoroughly enjoyable. Give it a go. You may or may not regret it.

You must see this show while in Tokyo. It is very much for foreigners but it is amazing and worth it. Cannot even describe it. You... just have to experience it yourself! more

Yes, it's a bit out of the box, but it's in no way raunchy or weird or degrading. In fact, it's a very mix of mecha...nics, electronics, theater, music, and talented performances by very fit people. The story line (if there is one) is hard to follow, but who cares! You're there to tantalizes your senses. And the beer and snacks are very cheap. The space is small, which makes the big robots appear even bigger! more

One of the most bizarre shows that had my family and I laughing the entire time. Giant robots and monsters that keep appearing get...ting larger as the show progressed, even a giant cow. We were in awe wondering where in the world do they store these giant floats in such a tiny basement. The show is extremely loud but they do give sound headphones to kids. We were apprehensive of taking our 5 and 10 year old at first, but they loved it. There's nothing dirty or inappropriate with the show. more

The robots show somewhat later in the show. You first see a little dance with taiko drums and then you see a story about robots in...vading a forest. The next show is just robots, one wheel vehicles, guys in roller skates and robot suits. more

Ivan Molina Huerta

I loved everything about this! If you have a chance to go, YOU SHOULD GO! Make sure you get your reservations early because even... on a Monday night, it was a full house. The size of the venue is quite small but the performance is grand!

Come earlier than the recommended time because they have a lounge where you can watch a band dressed in shiny silver armor playing, and you can have a drink or two that you can bring with you to the show floor.

There's quite a number of intermissions, a perfect time for a restroom break or to grab a drink or snacks.

Definitely a great, great, unique experience! I'd definitely do this again!

Anthony T

Actually, there is one word that can describe what I saw: stiff.

Alex Sismanis

Such a crazy few hours! The lounge prior to the show is amazing in itself. Def would recommend for all ages, so much fun and seen anything like it! more

Awesome show!! Definitely worth checking out if you are in Japan.

It was a super tacky yet eye-opening experience with pyrotechnic, full-sized robots and lasers!

Imagine watching a ...
boss-battle from games that you play in your childhood, in front of your very eyes!

Just a word of caution though, do not be late! We were denied entry for the first act cos we were 5 mins late.

The robot show is totally awesome, a must try active in Tokyo. We both love it.

Not to be missed. An experience like never before. Highly recommended

From the moment you are outside the restaurant, it's a crazy experience. It's interesting, entertaining and definitely a... fun experience. The entertainers have fun and it's an excellent show with Robots, Drums and Futuristic Creatures and Characters. It's a worthwhile evening. Get there early to get a front row seat. more

Robot Restaurant is one of those places that you must experience to understand. The lobby and stairwell are incredibly opulent, ta...cky, and charming. It's hard for your brain to process. We got there about 30 minutes before showtime and were awarded great front row seats. In my opinion you have to sit in the front row. Everything is right in your face and I mean could possibly take your head off if it were an inch closer. The show is weird, charming, and at some point will make you smile and say wtf. I highly recommend a visist on your next Japan adventure just don't expect to be the only tourist catching the show. more

Joel Hood

My husband and I went to the Robot Restaurant with out six year old son and we all loved it! Definitely unlike anything you will ...ever see. There were a handful of kids and they passed out noise canceling headphones to them which was a nice touch! I looked at several places to but the tickets and this was the cheapest and it was all very easy and smooth. Highly recommend both the show and Veltra! more

We came for the show, but had some bar bites. The bar food was tasty and the rocking band of robots were awesome. The whole experi...ence kept me smiling and laughing and I was in awe quite often. This was a seriously good show. Highly recommend. more

Joy T.

Words can't describe! It's confusing and loud and over the top but so much fun. The actors/dancers really feed off the a...udience so make sure you get into it! Thought the ending could have been more climactic but I can't complain really. Get there early to have a few drinks and enjoy the robot jazz band. And try to ask for seats near the middle (any row). more

Awesome Fun.
Had to queue at the ticket office with the voucher so would recommend getting there a little bit earlier to ge...
t a front row seat.
Loved the décor & floor to ceiling video walls.
Great fun atmosphere made you feel like a kid again.
Amazing 'full on' performances with the dancers giving it their all!
Some of the costumes were a bit tatty but the enthusiasm more than made up for it.
Drinks weren't too pricey at 500 yen but and the sushi box looked like good value.
Highly recommended... I'd like to go again the next time I'm in Shinjuku

Wasn't sure what to expect but this was basically a completely nuts way to spend 90 mins. It was essentially a cabaret-type that comprises mostly dancers in a variety of bewildering costumes all putting on a show in a number of acts that basically have no coherent narrative. There are a few robots as well interspersed throughout which culminates in a finale that is a complete assault on the senses. I had no idea what was going on and I loved it.

The place is a complete tourist trap and everyone there seemed to either love it or hate it. If you're into stuff that's so bad it's good and a bit tongue in cheek then you'll probably love this. It is very hard to explain what the whole experience was like, you'd have to see it to believe it. It's actually all a bit surreal but it was hilarious and the performers really threw themselves into the performance. I really enjoyed it!

Don't take young kids - there were children under 5 there and even a couple of babies which really wasn't appropriate. The show is very loud and smoky with flashing lights everywhere.

And don't eat the food - it looked awful and almost no one had chosen the food option. Go get some decent food after the show. Also, you'll probably enjoy the show more if you've had a drink beforehand.

The show is very pricey but I'd say definitely worth it to see the crazy side of Tokyo. We got a 33% discount on tickets booked through a third party website so it's worth googling to book ahead beforehand to get a deal.

The Robot Restaurant is a unique experience that is catered to foreign tourists. The seating arrangements are great and the show i...tself is filled with fun visuals. I do recommend it for anyone looking for a fun event. more

Title says it all. If that doesn't convince you, this show is probably not your cup of tea.

However Veltra mi...
srepresented the free kids' drink and snack. Apparently it is only available at the afternoon show. more

I was looking for a deal on the Tokyo Robot Restaurant and after some research found Veltra and this amazing deal. This website is... legit and me and my family saved a ton of money on the tickets. Will definitely recommend and comer back here for future purchases. more

The show is crazy, random, but so cool! A must-do in Tokyo, which I wouldnt want to have missed. It is 1 1/2 hours full craziness!... You have to be there to understand the Japanese :) more

Just about the everything you love japan for its weirdness wrapped up in one hell of a show. Beware lots of neon lights and kawaii...-ness. more

Robot restaurant is an incredible experience for the entire family. The entry hall consists of autographs of famous people. The is quite small, so you are very close to the robots. Imagine a Tokyo/Las Vegas Anime/Godzilla style production. Highly recommended!! more

interesting show. we had fun, it was something different than usual.

Everything is awesome like he lego movies but even more better awesome than that!!!! I would say a must see if in Tokyo.

It was fantastic! Dancers were very energetic and cheerful. Great memory!

Sejung, Hwang

It was very freak and amazing. We would repeat. Absolutely to recommend if you go to Tokyo.

We loved the enthusiasm and energy of this show. It was such fun. It is a cross between Las Vegas glitz and youthful exuberance. W...ell worth the experience. more

Not sure if it was because I showed up early or if Veltra booked the tickets but I had seats that were front and center. (there ar...e two sides, with 3 rows each with about 40 seats in each row) Tickets were 2000 yen more at the door. Show was short but was fun, I have never seen anything like it more

The audience is almost entirely tourists, so we felt a bit iffy prior to going in. But as soon as the show started I knew this is ...going to be the best night after our 2 weeks in Japan. I'm not even sure how to describe it, but the show is insanely amazing. Super high energy and one of the craziestly awesome things I've ever seen! The caramel popcorn is also super tasty. more

Great show to experience this entertainment of Japan! Really funny and nog that many people, so very good!

I loved this show much! It was super techno with lights and hot chicks. It was all the things you think about when you think "...;Japan". The people were super friendly and helped us out big time. We accidentally bought tickets for the wrong day but they let us exchange them. You have to go! more

The show was pretty cool - my 10 yo daughter really enjoyed herself, and the dancers all had great stage presence. Don't exp...ect a great plotline for the show, just sit back and enjoy the dazzle. It's fun and unique. Veltra had the best ticket discount, and the process went smoothly - showing a screenshot of the ticket on my phone to the guy at the door, as I was on vacation, without a printer. No issues at all. more

Its hard to describe the show that is at the Robot Cafe, but you should go.

Think of it as an electric night parade, Fantasmic style show, sailor moon cosplay, power rangers, and harujuku art! It was lovely... and the breaks every 15 min were useful in allowing us to catch up with friends, go to the bathroom, & relax our ears!! It's like letting your inner 5 year old come out to play, imagine, battle, dance, & wonder! more

Great show! Definitely a must in Japan. I can only discribe the show as entertainment you can only find in Japan. Interesting. The... discount was a nice bonus. Our sits were in the first row right in the middle! Best view. But really any seat in the show is a good view. more

The Robo caberet was a great silly show with lots of costumes lights and flare. The meal was decent for only 1000 yen. Drinks were... reasonable 5-800 yen (the se as any of the bars) and the show was a fun spectacle. Would recommend to anyone going to Tokyo. more

It's a bit short, but a fun experience with all of the animatronics and definitely can be experienced by a family or friends more

Some thought it was weird but I thought it was well done from the performers to the robots

We were walking all day through shrines and castles, so this was a treat for the kids to enjoy at the end of the day. Loud, energe...tic, and dressed up characters from movies and TV shows of when I was a little kid. Made me feel young again! more

We bought tickets for robot restaurant through Veltra, a company I was dubious about as they were offering a larger discount than ...any other vender and which I had previously never heard of them. Alas, I can confirm the tickets/offer was perfectly legit and I will be booking future tickets through veltra from now on.

Robot restaurant itself can only be described as an assault on your senses. It is pure and utter madness from start to finish. Think of it being like watch a live action power rangers film on steroids. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see something a little different while in japan, especially if you like watch movies which make you cringe. I don't know what else to say, I've never experienced a show quite like this one.

Une expérience unique à faire sur Shinjuku ! Rien que la salle d'attente avant le show vaut le coup d'oeil..

a must on a visit to tokyo. a bit expensive but worth the fun.

Aaron Dzk

Great show. Would have been better if it was a bit longer as it left me wanting more but overall satisfies with the whole experien...ce more

Just go - you will be glad you did. This isn't the place to chat with locals or immerse yourself in "real" Japanese... culture, but it is A LOT of fun. more

We got a great price with Veltra and the show was just as crazy as I'd hoped. I'd recommend the show if you want to see... the wacky side of Tokyo's pop culture and I'd definitely use Veltra again. more

The show was very unique and entertaining! We had a great time

Something you can not really experience anywhere else.

The robot restaurant is great fun and absolutely bonkers! Hilarious evening.

The show is a tourist attraction and cheesy but you absolutely have to be dead inside not to enjoy this! It's funny, full of ...color and stimulation and all of the dancers and performers have wonderful energy. My friend and I were tired and we were full of energy after this show, it is contagious! Def go for a fun night in the Shinjuku district! more

This is an eye opener show for us. Though the show doesnt really have any story line, it is good to see the 'robot' and ...its performance.
90minutes show but there are few intermittent in between, whereby you can go to restroom, buy some food and drinks. So, do not expect a 90minutes full performance.
Warning: This show can be too loud for children but earphone is provided.

One of he most crazy and amazing shows I've ever seen. It's a mix of Japanese culture, cosplaying, light show with music... and a crazy dream more

Great show! Battling robots! Woman-eating shark! Neonized dancers! Big drums! Go, if you have any fun in you at all...

Great experience. Only in Tokyo can you experience something like this. Over the top and crazy. Just leave all your expectations a...t the door and soak it all up. If you have issues with bright lights and loud noises might not be the show for you more

So fun and crazy, I cannot describe it. Enjoyed watching the show, online booking was easy

This show was amazing. It was so much lights and the props were awesome. If you are in Tokyo, don't miss this show

I loved the Robot show. It was unique and great fun

Once in a lifetime show, with cheesy story line but so jaw dropping my awesome and mesmerizing. Without a doubt worth every penny.... more

Way over the top and bright and loud and awesome! Big robots and singing and acting. Just gotta see it once! Veltra has best ticke...t prices around. So easy to book and to find the place. Our flight was cancelled so lucky i rang and asked them to move it to the next night and the Robot Restaurant did! Phew.. There was a no visible tattoo rule so i wore a scarf to cover my throat tattoo and put makeup on my face tattoo's and wore gloves but it was so hot in there so I asked about the rule but they said its for Yakuza only and foreigners are ok.. So I quickly took all the winter extra's off and it was good after that.. haha.. All the seats get the same good view as its 3 level seating on either side and the show goes up and down the middle, but the seating area is tight and has small seats. But gotta go see it!! more

The restaurant is amazing. I loved it. Have a few drinks and enjoy the show. Veltra was the cheapest ticket supplier I could find.... But this also comes with drawbacks. US based so don't expect prompt communication. Email reply will take days and if you want to change the booking do it yourself with the restaurant. They are more than happy catering to you. Veltra will not help. more

Really great show and was easy to book through veltra!

Its hard to explain this show, there was so much going on. Start to finish chaos, but so entertaining. The staff is extremely frie...ndly and everything is in english including whats spoken in the show. Its super corny but not in a bad way, im not really a smiley person but my friend and I both had ear to ear grins the whole time. Alcohol prices were good, the sushi bento the people next to us had did not look very appetizing, which goes along with what most people commented on.

Pricing at the door is a bit steep, we paid ¥6050 yen (includes a small drink) which is a very good price. I was a bit nervous about ordering tickets from a random site that came up on google offering a 24% discount, but the reviews were good. I can assure you its legit.

It was a great show, got great seats from this website. Worth it.

My girlfriend and I visited for a two day stint in Tokyo -- had a wonderful time. Thanks Robot Restaurant Team :p

Tokyo 2-Daytripper

So much insanity and energy. The show feels like a mix of Blue Man Group's Live show, mixed with power Rangers. There are Dr...ums, There are fireworks, there are character Knock Offs (Mad Max, Mothra, etc...), and there are Robots (sort of...).

Totally worth your time, totally mind melting.

Daniel Spilatro

We had a great time, well worth the money spent. Glad we left the young kids at home as the lights and noise would have been too ...much for them. more

The show was very unique and entertaining! We loved it!

This place was crazy!!!!! We had the best time, such a different experience

The show was amazing! So much happening and a bit of comedy to it which was funny! Great costumes and very entertaining!

Seriously best entertainment and show I've seen. 100% recommend

Kirby Brockley

This show was like nothing I had ever seen before, I didn't want it to end! Definitely a must-see if ever travelling to Tokyo.... more

D Crouch

A truly fantastic show! We had an amazing time and everyone loved the atmosphere!

Sylvia Johnston

That was an awsome show and it was wroth every pennies. I'd would love to go again when ever I'd go back to Japan.

You have to go to this! Definitely an experience not to be missed. I would go again!

Had such a great time watching the performances and seeing the robots. Definitely a must in Japan

Would recommend it! But i think it is advisable to have a drink before. Great fun

We like very much the show, dancers and music.
Nice difference experience to do in Tokyo

Was great, crazy and a great spectical. Would recommend to everyone.

This is a crazy light show/cabaret with 4 intermissions during which you can buy booze and food. It is sensory overload but a nea...t peek into crazy Japanese robotic/anime/cosplay culture. Don't go if you are prone to seizures (seriously). There are a lot of strobe lights, lasers, loud noises, etc. But it was a riot of randomness. We loved it. more

A very great moment to spend for a famille with teenagers.

This is a must-see show! Exciting, high tech and fun!

If in Tokyo, this must be on your list. It's the corny over the top laugh at ourselves show that you would get nowhere else. ...The staff is wonderful. We were late and called and they escorted us in one minute before the show started. We were running to train stations like crazy people! We knew we did not want to miss the show no matter what. more

Hoai My Winder

This show is insane! Totally awesome! Totally worth the price. I recommend this show to all new traveler's to Japan. Popco...rn and drinks were on point. Short walk from train station. Watch out for the Red Light District. more

My niece came in and that was her to do thing in Tokyo. She and I had a blast. My second time might go 1 more time before I move b...ack to the states. more

Such a fun and crazy experience we had at the Robot restaurant. it is definitely something to go to when you visit Tokyo. Kids wou...ld enjoy the experience as its in english as well. Loved the experience. more

That most the most unique cabaret experience I've had in my life. I highly recommend to visiting tourists you wont find somet...hing like this anywhere else in the world!! more

Alexander Nowshadi

It is a great place for kids and adults alike the place is really loud, but if it is too much to handle they offer noise canceling... head set. Everything from the waiting room to the show was great and entertainment truly worth it more

Enjoyed the show with my sister. It's one of a must see show in Tokyo.
Thank you VELTRA for discounted tickets.

A must see, be sure to go early so you watch the entertainment in the bar

This show is awesome! We were worried that it might end up being an over-hyped tourist trap.... There WERE a lot of tourists (the show is even in English), but it was so much fun we didn't care.

As other reviews have said: don't be late, don't bother buying the bento dinner, and come prepared for fun!

A fantastic assault on the senses..... very entertaining from start to finish. Everyone in my group loved the show; a must do in ...Tokyo! more

It was a great show and very entertaining and the price was a little cheaper compared to the actual price at the entrance so it wa...s a bonus. However, we did not have much time to take a photo wth the performers (we were expecting 5 minutes for our group but it was actually for all of the guests in there). Overall, it was really fun and fascinating show!!! more

Special effects were nice! Just thought it's a bit too pricey for what's offered

it was a unique experience for us to see the show!it was spectacular!!

Worth going when in Shinjuku. This allows for a quick process at the ticket counter.

it was a unique experience for us to see the show!it was spectacular!!

This show stays true to the stereotype of Japan being that funny and weird (good) country.

Nice place, it was a new experience for us, not what we expected but se had a really good time.

There arn't robots in the classic sense of what you'd expect of robots. Its people with props being crazy in a sensory o...verload. Its funny its mental its not the robot restaurant i was expecting. Worth watching youtube to see what you're in for first. more

Really glad we bought our tickets through Veltra at close to half the price of the tickets sold at the door. The show itself was d...efinitely as fun and ridiculous as it sounds, however the intermissions between the acts were very long and interrupted the flow of the show. more

This is just one for the senses. Don't go there trying to work out what is going on...
Just enjoy the Japanese madness...
And 'restaurant' should be used in the loosest of terms.

The interior design is glittering and colourful, stage is relatively small in the centre with 3 rows of audiences on two sides but... dancers performed very well in limited space even with heavy costumes and giant warriot fighters. Have great fun specially there's interval for a rest and drinks. more

My boyfriend wanted to go to the Robot restaurant show so I booked it through Veltra because of the discounted ticket price. Most ...of the audiences were foreigners. The show was interesting and flashy. I was impressed with the way they moved the contraptions and robots in the right space without accidents. It was a good experience and I'm glad we went! more

Great entertainment. Great show. Not much food to order here, they serve cotton candy and popcorn. Beer and sake.

I had high expectations based on comments from others, and at its peak this show exceeded them - it really has to be seen to be be...lieved. 1 star removed for the frequent intermissions (which means that there is really only around 40 mins of performance within the 90 minute show), the high cost, and the Kabukicho location which made it a little uncomfortable bringing our children. That said, Veltra was the cheapest option I could find, making it much more acceptable vlaue for money compared to the undiscounted ticket prices. more

Jon D

A very unusual experience!... Only in Japan can a show like this happen!.. Lights, action, dancing & pandas!!!.. Glad we went!...... The time really flew fast!.. Get there on time as it starts on time. more

It was a very fun, colourful and energetic show.

It's insane, out of this world and you should experience it once in your life eventhough it's a typical tourist trap It's loud, whacky, there's so many things going on at one time. Like a sensory overload. You just need to sit back relax, enjoy and just go with it. It was mind boggling. My kids were 3-4 and they are very much in the "why" phase. "Mummy, why is the dancing horse person kissing the horse statue?" LOL! Honestly- i had no answer for that. I was at loss for words but it was definitely an experience. You really cant explain much but my answer was this...Only in Japan. You could experience this... only in Japan. You've got to see it to believe it :-) more

gpod show.... could be a little longer.
Line to get drinks was too long. Need more personnel at the bar or have more wai...
t staff.
The show is entertaining.

Payment and Veltra voucher usage for the robot show is smooth. Thanks!

This was my second time watching this show. While the number of acts has dropped, the acts that remain have gotten more elaborate.... There is downtime in-between the shows for you to go to the toilet or get a drink. more

It was fun! But I don't recommend the bento. Do it earlier in your trip if you can for better impact:)

This was my second time attending a show at Robot Restaurant since both times have been with people who were visiting me here in J...apan. I do not know whether it is because they change the content periodically or because it was an afternoon show this time, but the outfits were less revealing than the first time I went. It also seemed to take longer between each segment. Nevertheless, it is a fun thing to do if you are looking for something a bit unusual. It is definitely aimed at tourists, and most of the attendees are foreigners. This particular deal did not include a meal, but they have snacks available there as well as boxed meals if there are any left over. The "Restaurant" part of the name is actually a bit misleading since it is really about the show. Lots of lights, crazy costumes, and energetic dancers, so I recommend it if that is the kind of thing you enjoy. more

Squirrel Girl

A local described this as "this is very popular with foreigners." It's true. The only people in the audience were... tourists. That being said, it was very entertaining. Do not get the food. Just get the booze.
The price of the ticket only includes the show, but if you get over the cost, it's really fun and ridiculous.

The show was out of this world and was one of our highlights for our trip to Japan.
It was interesting to see how they can...
fit all the robots / floats within such a small stage area. There was so little room that they had to remind everyone to stay within their seats to avoid accidents. The show was spoken in english and appeared to be for westerners as the audience was 100% westerners. It would've been nice to watch the show when the audience was predominantly japanese. The show was considerably short since intermission was every 15 minutes. By the end of the show, we probably watched an hour of robot show in total. more

Newbie Travelers

Nothing about this show is supposed to be in depth. Embrace the flashiness of the show and soak it all in. Don't be surprise...d at the show being in 10 minute intervals with breaks to sell you junk. Don't eat there. Drinks are moderately overpriced. The show is supposed to be constantly changing. Recommended for something unique. more

Daniel M

Was great that we got our tickets much cheaper than from other sites! Booked it the day before we went to the restaurant and got t...he ticket confirmation on the same day as booking. more

Scenes change quickly but the entertainment was good. Only negative was the long intermissions and there were about 4 of them for ...the 1.5 hour show. more

A great full on show. I also did this 3 years ago. What I noticed this time was the push to buy buy buy stuff during the numerous ...breaks between acts and also the cross-promo for the robot themed bar and restaurant that now exists on separate premises nearby. You certainly get the impression that they want to extract every yen from you. They should spend some money repairing some of the robots and props which looked a bit worse for wear from the front seat.
However this is an experience not to be had anywhere else so go and see it!

We had a really good time there.
I would recommend to check-in early so you get to see live music in the lounge there too.

When I was planning my trip to japan, I would always hear about robot restaurant. Reading through the reviews, it seemed like a pr...etty unique experience so I went and booked tickets through veltra since they had a 25% discount at the time. The entire experience was definitely a unique experience. The show consisted of flashing lights, loud music, huge robots shooting fog and flames. Would recommend it to people looking to experience probably the weirdest show in tokyo. Is it a must see experience? Maybe not. At $60 for the show after discount, I could have definitely spent it in something better. more

Redeeming the voucher for tickets worked fine. The staff had my name on a list and had tickets ready to exchange. The show itself as wacky and crazy as you would expect. Though, it is a bit of a tourist trap - still very fun. more

It was definitely a fun and unique experience that you won't get anywhere else. Not sure if it's worth the price though;... the bento box wasn't worth 1000¥. more

His show will take your breathe away...only disappointnent is the price but as a spectacle cannot be beaten :-)

great choice for japan fun. The actors were very enthusiastic and the show was great. My gf didn't enjoy herself though.

The show was very funny and colorful.
A great tokyo expirience! :)

My spouse was really looking forward to this and loved the show. I was a bit hesitant at first but it turned out to be interesting.... We ate before watching - so didn't order the food there. I'd recommend buying the ticket on sale here and having this different experience. more

Very fun and exciting show. Non-stop action, interesting storyline. But the show was too short (1hr with 2 intermissions). Intermi...ssions were too short, not enough time for restroom breaks, especially after a couple drinks and with a full audience. more

The show is something different and enjoyable. Recommended

It's in the sub-sub-basement, so there is a bit of sewers odor
The noise is loud and intense
Some of the robots...
could use a renewal of some kind.
All that being said, it's hilarious as heck and a crazy and fun 90 minutes
I would'nt go back but I'm sure as hell happy I went

Going to the Robot Restaurant turned out to be an interesting experience. We booked online and when we got to the place we were gr...eeted by someone who spoke English and sent us to the ticket booth to retrieve our tickets. It was quick and easy to get them and after waiting for about 15 mins at the lounge we proceeded to move inside to the show. Filled with light and upbeat music, the show is definitely something you might want to check out if you're ever in Tokyo. Food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are available inside. The place gets pretty loud and crazy so you might want to leave the kids behind. Most of the seats are ok but if you're unlucky enough to get the corner seats then you might not be able to see everything that's going on. All-in-all a fun night! more

Great night out, enjoyed by everyone in our group. Well worth the money spent!

This show was something I was sort of holding my nose for and attending after reading reviews. It was actually good and very ente...rtaining both for my wife and I and the kids. Definitely worth attending more

Before i book this event, i looked around the internet to find out if it worth the price or not. Not much information come out nor... pictures. So i had no idea what should i expect.
With a comical start, i thought it would be boring like this. Then the real show start with a bang.
Now looking back, the first part is my favorite, japan style show mixed with futuristic look. Show has different stories and themes. There is first big break then many small break between show, when you can buy souvenirs and later on only drinks. I gave 4 star for this event, but i would give only 6-7/10 points. It is a good show, but sometime a feel there are a lot thing to improve.

Ps: i orderd one sushi bento for 1000 yen, the taste of sushi is less or equal average. I recommend not to buy it and better get popcorn there.

Its a must attended show!! Well organized! We did enjoyed it very much

It was a great night out filled with laughs. Glad I tried it and got to experience this. Very touristy, wouldn't do it again ...if I came back but would recommend people trying it if you haven't already. more

Danielle Mendes

Good show. It was definitely interesting and fun to watch.

My wife and I heard about the restaurant show from people who attended it before. They did recommend us to go and we are glad we! We had a great time. Big robots moving with wifi devices... light shows and the performers were really good. It's a must do whenever you are in Tokyo! more

I went with my two teenage daughters to see the Robot Restaurant. It is an unusual experience for sure. Not really a restaurant at... all. More of a show with bar and snack service. The show itself is loud, bright and has many special effects. Quite a captivating 90 min, although there were a few too many breaks/intermissions for drink sales. The building itself is quite unique, with everything, including the bathrooms, decorated in bright colours, mirrors, etc.
All in all, unforgettable, and worth doing.....once.

Dr Krista Leicht

The Robot show in Tokyo was definitely a unique show which we will never forget during our trip!

The show itself was crazy and very intense but the people serving weren't friendly and it was clear that this is a tourist pr...oduction line. We weren't even allowed to leave the building. Everything was extremely structured and you are allowed 2 minutes for photos afterwards for everyone so lots of people missed out. And they push you out straight away afterwards. I was putting on my coat and allowing others to go in front of me and they kept trying to push me out. more

We struggled to find the place: everywhere are signs sending you to right or left but you never find the correct entrance. Super c...onfusing.

We got the show recomended by some friends. I was expecting a bit more high level dancing performance. What you get is a lot of interesting costumes, some huge robot-puppets, light effects, artists dancing, singing and playing instruments. All in all an interesting show made for americans. It's interesting to watch but I woulnt go a second time.

This show is so famous - it's very well recomended everywhete - I expected more - I was kind. of disapointed. Too much noisy.... Many breaks to sell drinks and food more

Leda Maria Pacheco

I saw the show in last year and i was amazed. Loved so much and looked to see again. This yeat i got back Tokyo and went to the sh...ow again. This time had an extra break during a show for up selling beverages and snacks. The show was shorter and much less spectacular. Turned to be some kind of 'turist tax' :( more

I'm a harsh critic. Lots of tourists. Take it or leave it. It is at times cheesy but the robots were pretty cool if you...39;re into that type of stuff. It's probably better for families with kids than for grown adults. I paid about $45 a person for just the show and I probably wouldn't pay any more than that. It's 2.5 hours of crazy lights and robots. more

In it's best moments, it's wacky, fun, colorful, loud, and nothing like I've ever seen. At it's worst, it...9;s a contrived tourist trap and feels like they're trying to milk everyone who walked through the door for every last dime. Everyone who shows up prior to the show goes upstairs to a room with insufficient seating, a musician playing solo, and drinks and snacks overpriced to a degree I have not seen anywhere else in Japan (300 yen for a bottle of water, 500 yen for a soda). Then everyone heads down 4 or 5 flights of very colorful stairs to the basement, and packs into rows of seats. I did not opt for any of the food except popcorn, which was OK. The show consists of a few unrelated acts, each with its own vapid theme of intense multi-sensory stimulation, and separated by long (hot) breaks where they are hocking overpriced drinks and snacks. My 65-year old father, who is usually up for anything, was totally unamused and actually fell asleep during the madness. My 9 and 11-year-old nephews said it was a "7 out of 10." If I could go back in time, I would advise myself to skip it and spend more time in Odaiba or one of the theme cafes, or just walking around one of the many great neighborhoods in Tokyo. Skip it, unless you really like this colorful, weird, loud, cheesy Japanese sort of thing and don't mind doing an unabashed foreign tourist activity (zero Japanese people were in attendance). more

The show offers a dose of odd fun. I gave it 3 stars for the following reasons:

-it's too short for the cost o...
f admission.
-there's down time for set up of chained walls. I understand safety is important however this time can be used to further entertain the audience with a smaller act that doesn't interfere with other staff setting up the chained barriers.
-there's additional down time to hand out glow sticks. Why can't they hand out glow sticks while others are setting up the chained barrier.
-there's too many breaks to sell booze. I got taken out of the fun because there was so much down time.

In sum, it seems like there can be more show for the dollar value instead of what I described. Lastly, this performance is geared to entertaining foreigners. Expect to be sitting in a room full people who speak English.

Interesting show. Wouldn't say it's worth the price and isn't a must do, but if you're looking for something u...nusual then give it a go for sure. more

Enjoyable show. Funny and extravagant. Drinks room was fantastic. Had an enjoyable night

Show was corny but entertaining. All foreigners. I'd recommend watching it at least once. A lot of downtime for intermissions... but overall a very high energy performance. If you select bento box on the reservation, they make you lay for it at the location. If you are hungry, I'd recommend eating beforehand. more

We enjoyed the show, it's really one of a kind world wide, but we were expecting more robots and mechanized entertainment and... less cabaret dancers. Were the price 20 bucks, I'd recommend it, but fit the actual price, it's overrated, I'd spend the money somewhere else in such a wonderful city with so many options. more

The Japanese have an interesting imagination, and unique way at telling a story. Music, lights and crazy costumes.

Given the geographical area where the show venue is located I understand why it may not be billed as a family show, which is a because I think kids aged 8-16 would really love this performance. Our group was four adults, the crowd was 90% tourist adults. Lots of neat character designs, props and radio controlled platforms with performers putting a lot of energy into it albeit at an amateur level. Given the price of admission $50-70 per person, it's a bit much for the quality of the talent then given the pre-holding area with suggested drinks it gets downright expensive. The show is betwixt and between; not racy enough as an adults only show, not cheap enough for a family show. But it is iconic in its own way and for those looking to kill a couple of hours with modest entertainment with pocketbooks which won't mind; worthwhile. more

Colin L

My husband and I thought it was interesting and different. Our kids (ages 8 and 11) hated it. It was WAY too loud. They provide...d noise dampening headphones for kids under 10, which was appreciated, but they really just should never have had it be that loud for anyone. If you go, I recommend ear plugs, as you will start to have a headache after an hour. Definitely shop around for deals as these tickets can go on sale, but even for the sale price, I feel they are still overpriced. There are better things to do in Tokyo. But, if you really want to see the show, Veltra offered a good deal on tickets. more

The location is at the shady dirty district. The show is unique as the description said but kinda choppy and kinky.

Hall of the show is not the show. Only People trying to sell you food and beers. There are no real robots... all is badly finishe...d. Huge disapointement. more

I did not like the show. Half of the time is spent waiting for preparation of the next action. Each action lasts for 3-5 min and t...hen you get different waiters going around with signboards offering you to buy drinks or snacks or souvenirs for good 10-15 minutes so you just sit and wait till they finish their 'duty'. Show itself is colourful but kind of childish. You get robots moving around only at the last part of the show. If I am offered to see it second time, I will refuse. more

Saved 2000 yen thanks to Veltra! No problems at all in getting our tickets. Place was easy to find thanks to the instructions.
/> The show needs to update its story line or to make a story line! I can imagine that it would've been fun and cool 15 years ago. The story plots were ridiculous. Price is similar to a Cirque du soleil ticket but the performances are totally different in quality. Not coming back. more

After visiting Miraikan and seeing Asimo, we expected much from the Robot Restaurant. But in contrary were presented with circus ...of people trying to behave as robots. The only lasting impression were the loudness of the music and the incessant urge to sell popcorn.
The guitar player in the lobby did a great performance, he should consider moving to a jazz bar.

The website is a bit misleading as there are really no robot in the entire show. We are a bit disappointed as we have high expect...ation to see sophisticated robots. Mainly it is a lot of dancers dancing and dancers inside a robot machine dancing. The place is a bit run down, it is quite difficult to find as it keep pointing to different direction, at the end we have to go down all the way to the basement. Before the show we have to wait in areas where there are no seats left at all and only drinks are available to entertain. The food is really terrible, close to uneatable food even if u are really really hungry. The dancing performance might be the only thing that is a bit more exciting. I will give 2-3 stars out of a 5. more

Very loud drumming, people dancing on floats, very overdone. Attend at your own risk. Bring earplugs.

Even with the discount you get by booking with Veltra, it is not worth shelling out for. My boyfriend and I were so disappointed w...ith the whole experience. Everything was rushed, from being in the waiting area to bring rushed to our seats and even the show. The show says it is an hour and a half. Actually it's a little under an hour when you take into consideration how many breaks they take to sell booze, snacks and merchandise. Overall, very disappointing! more

To be honest, I wasn't impressed.
I was happy to purchase tickets through Veltra since I couldn't find a cheaper...

4 15-minute pauses in a 2-hour show with incentives to buy drinks.
The show is very poor, only one scene with real robots....
The rest is dancing and drums on Japanese Gundam themes more

Don't waste your money. Take ear plugs. You won't have any hearing left. The venue looks distinctly red light. It has li...ttle to do with robots . more

I bought tickets in advanced to see this show because I thought it sounded interesting. My flight was cancelled due to snow. I con...tacted the office in the morning from the airport for possible partial refund. They refused. I wouldnt book unless you absolutely know you can make it. more

Pathetic total waste of time. One couple left the moment show started. It was like a cheap circus and the name is misleading. don't waste your money more

This was the worst a total tourist trap. We were recommended to go by a few friends and we can't believe other people like it....
Oddly we were there the same night as Ariana Grande who loves it as does her crew (see her snapchats from that night), but we thought it was horrible.

Waste of time. Money making for a cheap production. Save your money.

Service with Veltra was perfect but the show is really bad
