What To Expect
Visit Mt. Fuji, Japan's highest peak and most famous symbol. Spend the evening in the historical mountain resort area of Hakone before traveling to Takayama, known as the "Little Kyoto," to see its preserved historical structures and environment. Mingle with the locals at the thatched roofed village of Shirakawa-go, a World Heritage site. Visit Kanazawa, home of Kenroku Garden, one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, and admire the ceramics at Kutaniyaki.
Take a deluxe motorcoach to the foot of Mt. Fuji via expressway, then drive halfway up Japan's highest mountain to enjoy a spectacular view from a height of 2300 meters. After lunch, proceed to Mt. Komagatake mountaintop and a cruise on Lake Ashi on a pirate boat.
Drive to Odawara Station and board a shinkansen for Nagoya. Transfer to a limited express for Takayama, an ancient, tranquil city also known as "Little Kyoto." Stroll through Takayama, visiting Yatai Kaikan Hall, where colorfully decorated traditional festival floats are displayed, Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum, formerly the residence of powerful merchants under government patronage, and the streets of Kami Sannomachi, where there are preserved traditional Japanese wooden houses.
Go for a scenic drive by Lake Miboro and along Shokawa River to Shirakawago, designated in 1995 as a World Heritage site. Its highlights are unique structures called Gassho-Zukuri, or joined-hands farmhouses.
08:30 Depart the hotel by motorcoach and visit Higaschichaya street, Tentokuin Temple, and the Nomura Residence, a historical samurai family residence. Proceed to Kenrokuen Garden, one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan, before heading to Kanazawa Station and take a limited express train (Shirasagi) to Nagoya. At Nagoya Station, transfer to a Nozomi Shinkansen to Tokyo.
19:30 - 20:30 Arrive at Tokyo Station. Drop-off service offered to same hotels as pick-up

If your hotel is not in the list, you may choose to proceed to the Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal or be picked up at a hotel in the list that is nearest you. Please indicate your choice upon booking.

This tour is offered for travelers from overseas only.
When the Gassho-zukuri Folk Village and Wada House are closed, the tour will visit Nagase House and Myozenji Temple instead.
Transfers on Day 2 will be conducted by shared bus, and transfers on Day 3 will be conducted by local transportation.
Visits to Kusakabe Folk Museum and Kami Sannomachi Street may be moved to the following day.
Lake Miboro may be skipped due to heavy snow in winter.
GPS-equipped audio guides are available in Chinese and Spanish (please request during booking).
Mt. Komagatake Aerial Cableway may be skipped due to traffic conditions without alternative on some days.
When the driveway up to Mt.Fuji's 5th station is closed in winter due to heavy snow, you will go up to only the highest possible point that is allowed at the moment.
Komagatake Ropeway or Cruise on Lake Ashi may also be omitted or substituted depending on traffic, weather conditions, or for other operational reasons. In this case, you will enjoy one in case of either of them omitted or two for both of them omitted out of following alternatives: Narukawa Museum in Hakone, Hakone Check Point, Cruise on Lake Kawaguchi, Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Shrine, Owaku-dani, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway.
Your tour guide will finalize alternative places, based on careful study of tour movement and other conditions.
Baggage carriage is not included.
Trains do not have areas for storing large pieces of baggage. We recommend leaving large pieces of baggage at your hotel in Tokyo while you travel by train.
