24 hours in London

London is a city that never sleeps. Whatever time it may be, you are sure to find something to do while in this nocturnal city. If you’re just here for 24 hours, these are the places you must go to and the activities you must do.

9 AM
Start your day with a big English Breakfast at one of the best breakfast cafes in London, The Breakfast Club, Soho. This place offers brunch selections as well as American, French, and Spanish dishes. Get a cup of joe too and you should be ready to begin your adventure.

10 AM
Go to the Westminster where you can see Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and the House of Parliament. As you walk across the bridge towards Southbank, you’ll find a rich array of attractions such as the Sea Life Aquarium, theLondon Dungeons, and the London Eye. The London Eye is where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city in broad daylight.

1 PM
Stop by at The Strand for lunch. This is one of London’s best known roads where you’ll find a rich selection of restaurants, fast food outlets, and cafes. It’s the perfect way to satiate your hunger while exploring the city.

3 PM
Get your shopping done at the Portobello Market which sells just about any item you can imagine. Since you’ll be having a late dinner, you might as well grab something to eat so go to Maison Bertaux nearby for some delicious French snacks. You can spend some time in this quirky café or stroll along Greek Street through Carnaby Street.

6 PM
This is the best time to view the sunset so get a ride at the London Eye where you can get a 360-degree view of the city. You can also book a river cruise of the Thames where you can see modern and ancient monuments like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

8 PM
If you’re into theatre, you can catch a show at London’s West End which has more than 40 theatres lined up south of Oxford street. You might have a hard time picking which production to watch so be sure to do your research ahead of time before buying a ticket.

9 PM
At this point, you’re feeling famished already so get your dinner at the Aqua Shard. This is Europe’s tallest building where you can enjoy spectacular views of the city as you eat your delicious British dinner.

11 PM
End your night by booking a room at the Covent Garden Hotel which is a boutique hotel featuring 58 unique rooms. If you’re not feeling sleepy just yet, you can check out the hotel’s library and drawing room, and wind down with a glass of whiskey or two.
