What To Expect
In order to discover the deep spiritual soul of Turin, we start from the Cathedral San Giovanni Battista, an amazing union between the Romanic and the Baroque style. Here it is kept the Holy Shroud. Later, we will visit the Holy Shroud Museum, where you can admire the 16th century shrine, made of silver and hard stones, that safeguarded the Shroud until 1998.
The Barolo Marquis will open their house to you before a coffee break in an historical cafe where you will taste, together with delicious pastries, the famous Bicerin, a typical Piedmontese beverage that Hemingway put among the 100 things in the world he would save. Later we will visit the Church of the Consolata, masterpiece of the Piedmontese baroque, designed by the genius of architects such as Guarino Guarini, Filippo Juvarra and Carlo Ceppi.
