What To Expect
Experience Versailles in the most fun and convenient way possible by joining a segway tour alongside a knowledgeable tour guide to educate you along the way. This tour will be initiated with meetups at the specified meeting point.
To start off, you will undergo an orientation session where you will be refreshed (if experienced) or instructed how to ride the segway vehicle. Afterwards, the tour will begin after you have strapped on your gloves and helmet.
Stroll along the Grand Canal, Grand Trianon (a small yet elegant building made of pink marble built for Louis XVI as an escape from the busy life at the Versailles Palace), Petit Trianon (Marie Antoinette's smaller version of the Grand Trianon), and the Queen's Hameau (a rustic hamlet ordered to be built by Marie Antoinette as another retreat where she can meet with her closest friends). Grab the opportunity to take as many pictures as you can as you stroll around these magnificent areas.
Marvel at the sight of the Versailles Park - Apollo Fountain. This massive fountain depicts the Sun God, Apollo, riding his four-horse chariot as he rises from the sea. Next, admire the great sight before you as you stand at the end of the Grand Canal (a venue for nautical spectacles during Louis XVI's reign).
The Musical Fountains Show is available during the weekends while the Musical Gardens Show is held on Tuesdays. The segway vehicles are not permitted to enter the gardens.
