A celebrated example of Varsovian church architecture in the late 17th century, the Holy Cross Church is identified with the funerals of renowned figures such as Stanislaw Staszic and composer Karol Szymanowski. It also features the twin-towered Baroque style. The heart of the composer Frederick Chopin is said to have been placed into a pillar on the nave.
