Feel the excitement and learn the history of Florida's most remarkable treasure - the Everglades. Renew your spirit as you glide across miles of river at speeds up to 40 mph, and get up close and personal with native wildlife, many of whom are endangered in this fragile environment. Start your adventure with a 30-minute airboat tour of the Florida Everglades. Catch a glimpse of endangered wildlife as you skim across the glassy water.
In our Reptile Exhibit take a walk on the wild side back in time with an original dinosaur, the Florida Alligator. Be sure to bring your camera, so you can capture the excitement of you cradling one of these majestic animals with our "Hold a Baby Alligator" experience. Your adventure will include a visit to our Exotic Wildlife exhibit. Playful critters abound and amaze as you get up close and personal with many different animals that often include panthers, tigers, and even birds of prey. While you are at Sawgrass please don't miss our Swampyard Island! You and your family can interact and feed many of our animals at this exhibit.

The airboat ride is 30 minutes long, but allow 2 to 3 hours to view the exhibits.
Children below 4 years old are free of charge.
Children below 7 years old are required to wear a lift jacket for safety.
Guests below 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Location and direction
Please exchange your printed voucher at the Sawgrass Recreation Park check-in counter for admission bracelets. Your bracelets will grant you admission into the park and your airboat ride. You will be able to select your departure time at check-in.
The park is located two miles North of Exit 23 off of I-75 on US Highway 27.
Hours of Operation: Tours depart every 20 to 30 minutes from 9:00 to 15:30. The final boat departs at 17:00 and you must check-in no later than 16:00.
Price & Options
There is limited accessibility for guests who are handicapped. If you are able to comfortably take a step down into our boats or have a family member help you into the boat, you will be able to enjoy a boat ride.

What will I see during the tour?
During your guided tour of the Everglades, your experienced airboat captains will try their best to find wildlife such as alligators, birds, fish, and turtles. You will also hear stories about the Everglades ecosystem and even some history of the Everglades.
How many people are on each boat?
There will be approximately 15 to 25 guests board each boat ride and there are over 20 airboat that can seat 3 to 35 passengers.
Any cancellations made within 3 business days of your activity (after 09:00:00 local time) will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.
