Go beyond the city center and see a real cross-section of life in Yangon. Hop on the slow train for a unique tour of Yangon that will allow you to observe the lively and colorful life of the local urban lifestyle.

From our meeting point, we'll head to the Central Railway Station to catch the circular train, a commuter rail network that serves the Yangon Metropolitan Area. This 45.9 kilometer, 39-station loop connects several satellite towns and suburban areas, and is one of the best ways to discover the real Yangon.

The entire loop takes about three hours to complete, but we'll be hopping off at Da Nyin Gone Station to visit a lively local market. We'll spend about 45 minutes wandering through the stalls, meeting vendors, and observing the real way of life in Yangon. You'll learn about the commodities that are basic necessities for life here, and perhaps grab a coffee or tea from one of the local shops.

The tour continues as we get back on the train and head towards downtown to Pazundaung station. Enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants before hitting the road. Walk along the busy local streets lined with bike repair shops, tire sellers and vendors selling everything from betel nuts to Burmese buns.

Before we finish our walking tour, we'll visit St. Mary's Cathedral and see how it differs from other churches in the city!
