What To Expect
Wander around the city of Zanzibar and discover the wonders of the historical city. Pass by Darajani Market, old Sultan Palace ruins, and Zanzibar University. Visit a textile workshop and learn how the fabrics are dyed and turned into clothes or decorative pieces. Then, walk around one of the biggest markets in town and taste the famous dafu, a fresh coconut juice. Explore the sections of the market and see a large selection of exotic fruits and vegetables, fish, and meat. Drop by a local woodworking shop and discover their skills in making traditional handicrafts such as carved doors. Travel to Chukwani and view the parliament house and the city's expensive homes. Lastly, enjoy a typical local meal and beer at a restaurant with a spectacular view of the ocean.
